Abstract:
A microbicidal composition in the form of a concentrate includes a) one or more isothiazolin-3-ones, b) one or more organic amines with an alkyl group having at least 8 carbon atoms and c) one or more oxidizing agents. The concentrate is storage-stable and is used for the preservation of technical and domestic products.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a microbicidal use solution which comprises a) one or more isothiazolin-3-ones and b) one or two organic amines selected from N-dodecylpropane-1,3-diamine and bis(aminopropyl)-dodecylamine and optionally c) one or more oxidizing agents. The use solution is preferably in the form of technical and domestic products.
Abstract:
The invention relates to compositions which comprise one or more glycerol ethers together with one or more diol/diols and/or polyol/polyols. As a result, as well as good microbicidal effectiveness, whitening is reduced or avoided, drying-out of the skin is prevented, the moisture content is regulated and the skin is regreased to an adequate extent.
Abstract:
Microbicidal composition for product preservation, including a microbicidal composition which comprises a) at least one formaldehyde donor compound and b) at least one antioxidant chosen from gallic esters, phenol derivatives, L-ascorbic acid, and salts and derivatives thereof, and tocopherols and derivatives thereof, and to the use thereof for the preservation of technical products, for example fuels and lubricants.
Abstract:
A process for the preparation of a 1-alkyl glycerol ether of the formula (I) in which: (a) an alkyl glycidyl ether of the formula (II) in which R is an unbranched or branched C1- to C24-alkyl group, where the alkyl group may be substituted with one or more hydroxy and/or C1- to C4-alkoxy group(s) and/or the alkyl chain may be interrupted by up to four oxygen atoms, is added to: (x) a carboxylic acid having 1-10 carbon atoms; (y) an ester of a carboxylic acid having 1-10 carbon atoms; and/or (z) an anhydride of a carboxylic acid having 1-10 carbon atoms. The low-water reaction mixture containing a catalytic amount of a strong acid is reacted at a temperature of more than 40° C. to give an acylated alkyl glycerol ether; and (b) the acylated alkyl glycerol ether is reacted in order to obtain the alkyl glycerol ether of the formula (I).
Abstract:
Cooling lubricant (concentrate or solution) comprising a cooling lubricant base based on mineral and/or synthetic oil and preservative comprising (a) one or more 1- or 2-(C3 to C24 alkyl)glyceryl ethers.
Abstract:
A microbicidal composition and its method of use for preserving technical products such as fuels and lubricants. The composition is made up of at least one formaldehyde donor compound and at least one antioxidant. The antioxidant is either a gallic ester, a phenol derivative, a L-ascorbic acid, including salts and derivatives thereof, a tocopherol or one of its associated derivatives.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to stable microbicidal compositions which are characterized in that they comprise derivatives of methylenebisoxazolidine and 1H-benzimidazol-2-ylcarbamic acid. The compositions according to the invention can be employed in industrial products. The derivatives of methylenebisoxazolidine are used, in particular, for increasing the solubility of derivatives of 1H-benzimidazol-2-ylcarbamic acid in liquid preparations.
Abstract:
Cooling lubricant (concentrate or solution) comprising a cooling lubricant base based on mineral and/or synthetic oil and preservative comprising (a) one or more 1- or 2-(C3 to C24 alkyl)glyceryl ethers.
Abstract:
Compositions having a combination a) of one or more glycerol monoalkyl ether(s) of the general formula R—O—CH2—CHOH—CH2OH in which R is a branched or unbranched C3-C18-alkyl group, where the alkyl group can be substituted by one or more hydroxyl and/or C1-C4-alkoxy group(s) and/or the alkyl chain can be interrupted by up to four oxygen atoms, with b) an antioxidant or two or more antioxidants as stabilizer(s), the simultaneous presence of phosphocholines and phosphocholine derivatives being excluded.
