Abstract:
A method involves setting a link aggregation control protocol (LACP) link state for all links in a first service node to STANDBY to put at least one multiplexer in the first service node in a WAITING state to disable frame collection at the redundant service node and setting the LACP link state for all links in a second service node to SELECTED to put at least one multiplexer in the second service node in a COLLECTING/DISTRIBUTING state to enable frame collection at the primary service node.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for connecting multiple customer sites over a wide area network (WAN) using an overlay network is described. In one embodiment of the invention, each one of multiple customer edge (CE) routers establishes a Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) session with one or more BGP route reflectors and announces their private IP network prefixes and one or more transport IP addresses to reach that CE router. The BGP route reflector(s) reflect those IP network prefixes and the one or more transport IP addresses to reach that specific CE router to the other CE routers. The CE routers receive those reflected IP network prefixes and the corresponding transport IP address(es) to reach that CE router in which those IP network prefixes belong and register them in their corresponding routing/forwarding data structures. In this way, the CE routers learn how to reach each other.
Abstract:
A solid oxide fuel cell having a plurality of planar layered fuel cell units, an electrically conductive flow separator plate disposed between each of the fuel cell units, and a cathode contact material element disposed between each cathode electrode of the fuel cell units and each electrically conductive flow separator plate. The cathodes of the individual fuel cell units are modified such that the operating temperatures of the cathodes are matched with the temperatures they experience based upon their locations in the fuel cell stack. The modification involves adding to the cathode contact material and/or cathode at least one alloying agent which modifies the temperature of the cathode electrodes based upon the location of the cathode electrodes within the fuel cell stack. These alloying agents react with a component of the cathode electrode to form alloys.
Abstract:
In some embodiments, a solid oxide fuel system is provided. The solid oxide fuel cell system may include a chromium-getter material. The chromium-getter material may react with chromium to remove chromium species from chromium vapor. The solid oxide fuel cell system may also include an inert substrate. The chromium-getter material may be coated onto the inert substrate. The coated substrate may remove chromium species from chromium vapor before the chromium species can react with a cathode in the solid oxide fuel cell system.
Abstract:
In general, techniques for implementing a flow distribution service using a plurality of traffic nodes that may operate as processing nodes of a distributed computing system are described. In some examples, the traffic nodes in the aggregate form a virtual appliance configured to apply a network service to packet flows.
Abstract:
A method of operating a solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) system at partial load, the SOEC system including a plurality of branches each including at least one SOEC stack, includes determining a thermally neutral target voltage and cycling an ON phase and an OFF phase for each of the branches such that the SOEC system operates at an average operating power equal to a chosen percentage of the operating power at the thermally neutral target voltage. In the ON phase, the SOEC stacks in a given branch operate at the thermally neutral target voltage, and in the OFF phase, the SOEC stacks in the given branch are unloaded to an open circuit voltage and operate at 0% of rated power. The frequency of OFF phases for each branch is determined such that stronger or healthier branches have a lower frequency of OFF cycles than weaker or less healthy branches.
Abstract:
A non-transitory computer readable medium, a device, and a method for configuring a channel at an access point (AP) are disclosed. In an embodiment, the non-transitory computer readable medium includes instructions for receiving an Internet Protocol (IP) geolocation of an AP at an AP manager, where the IP geolocation indicates a physical location country of the AP, obtaining a configuration of the AP from a configuration database, the configuration of the AP including a configured country, determining whether the physical location country matches the configured country, identifying a common channel when the physical location country of the AP and the configured country of the AP do not match, the common channel including a channel that is authorized for use in both the physical location country and in the configured country, and pushing an indication of the common channel from the AP manager to the AP in a configuration message.
Abstract:
Embodiments herein disclose conditioning traffic through multiple data paths of a Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN). Some embodiments include monitoring a path through an SD-WAN to reach a destination node, determining a quality score for packets to the destination node on the path, determining a link utilization for the path, sending a data packet sequence to the destination node on the path, generating a forward error correction (FEC) packet for the data packet sequence, and sending the FEC packet to the destination node on the path in response to the quality score being less than a quality threshold and the link utilization being less than a high utilization threshold.
Abstract:
Malware can be automatically detected and countermeasures automatically generated. A virtual machine (VM) is run with an operating system configured with a monitoring subsystem. The monitoring subsystem is configured to generate event data based on events occurring on the virtual machine. The monitoring subsystem can run within the operating system kernel. Kernel drivers can register to receive specific events. The events are therefore sent to the drivers, which can send them to a classifier. The classifier can detect malware based on the events. When a sample is run on the VM, the classifier can detect malware in the sample. While running the sample, event data is collected. A countermeasure compiler can generate a countermeasure to the malware, the countermeasure based on the event data.
Abstract:
A system to monitor loading and unloading of a receptacle or of a receptacle support for transporting goods in a container. The system includes a photographing apparatus for taking photographs in front of a zone for monitoring at least a part of the interior of the container, according to an activation parameter from at least one sensor. The photographing apparatus configured to acquire at least one image or one film or any other reproduction of shape described by a cloud of points in at least two colors. The system further includes a database, microcontroller and a network terminal having a data transceiver to exchange data. The sensor of the photographing apparatus is triggered to measure and/or detect descriptive data relating to the transport conditions. The microcontroller associates time information with the descriptive data from the sensor.
