Abstract:
An actuator latch system of a hard disk drive keeps an actuator of the hard disk drive in place in a state in which a read/write head mounted to a swing arm of the actuator is parked. The latch system has first and second protrusions at upper and lower parts of a rear end portion of the swing arm, and a latch lever having first and second hooks at upper and lower parts of a leading end of the lever. The latch lever, like the actuator, is mounted to a base of the hard disk drive so as to be rotatable about a respective axis. The first hook engages the first protrusion of the swing arm when the arm is inadvertently rotated in a first direction to arrest such inadvertent rotation, and the second hook engages the second protrusion of the swing arm when the arm rotates for a second time in the first direction due to rebounding that occurs in the latch system after the first protrusion and the first hook collide.

A traveling robot includes a main body frame having a front wheel supported in a front portion thereof in a traveling direction, a first traveling part having a first driving wheel to drive in the traveling direction, a first rear wheel disposed in a rear side of the first driving wheel, and a first wheel frame to support the first driving wheel and the first rear wheel, a second traveling part having a second driving wheel to drive in the traveling direction independently from the first driving wheel, a second rear wheel disposed in a rear side of the second driving wheel, and a second wheel frame to support the second driving wheel and the second rear wheel, a first interlocking hinge part to rotatably support the first wheel frame to the main body frame to have a hinge axis of a perpendicular direction with respect to the traveling direction, and a second interlocking hinge part to rotatably support the second wheel frame to the main body frame independently from the first interlocking hinge part to have a hinge axis of the same direction as the first interlocking hinge part.
Abstract:
There is provided a replaceable sliding cover unit for a folder-type phone having a main body, a folder, and a hinge device for connecting the folder to the main body rotatably. A slot is formed around the periphery of the folder. A replaceable sliding cover, having a window at a predetermined position, is mounted along the slot to cover the upper portion of a folder case and detachable from the folder by sliding in the length direction of the folder-type phone. A raised edge and a locking unit fixes the cover in the slot.
Abstract:
A robot system including a beacon provided with a transmitting part to transmit a light for location determination, and a mobile robot provided with a receiving part to receive the light. The robot system further includes a rotation driving part to rotate the transmitting part about a predetermined axis; an encoder to add phase information regarding how much the transmitting part is rotated by the rotation driving part with respect to a reference direction to the light; and a location determiner to determine a location of the mobile robot based on the phase information of the light received by the receiving part. Accordingly, a robot system is provided, which can precisely determine a location of a mobile robot regardless of external environmental conditions, distance, and reduction of cost by using a few transmitters.
Abstract:
A A mobile display device capable of communicating with a host computer depending upon whether it is coupled with a docking station. The mobile display device includes a wired module for receiving the wired input signal applied from the docking station and converting the wired input signal into a first video signal; a wireless module for converting the wired or wireless input signal applied from the host computer into a second video signal; a display panel for reproducing the first video signal and the second video signal; and a display controller for converting the first and second video signals applied to the display panel from the wired module and the wireless module depending upon whether the mobile display device is coupled with the docking station, and applying to the display panel a control signal for turning on and off images reproduced from the display panel upon the above-described conversions.
Abstract:
A portable telephone with an exchangeable data input apparatus is provided. The portable telephone includes a bar-type main housing; a holding housing having first and second hinges positioned to face each other, to be protrusive, and to be symmetrical with each other and a sliding surface with a predetermined radius of curvature to be separated from the first and second hinges and attached to and detached from the main housing; and an exchangeable housing having bar-type first and second rotational sub housings with each one side connected to the first and second hinges so that the first and second rotational sub housings are hidden in the main housing when folded in and are in the form of wings protruding from both sides of the main housing when they are unfolded.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method of controlling tracking in slow mode playback. The tracking control apparatus comprises a video head for detecting a video signal recorded on a magnetic tape, a video signal processing circuit for detecting envelopes of the detected video signal from the video head, a microcomputer for outputting servo data and a slow tracking signal in response to the detected envelopes from the video signal processing circuit, a servo device for outputting a capstan phase control signal in response to the servo data from the microcomputer, and a capstan motor for driving a capstan in response to a signal into which the capstan phase control signal from the servo device and the slow tracking signal from the microcomputer are combined.
