Abstract: A filter assembly may include a canister and a filter element received in the canister. The filter element may include filter media configured to promote separation of a first fluid from a second fluid having different characteristics than the first fluid as fluid passes through the filter media. The filter element may further include a first end cap, a second end cap, and a tubular member extending between the first and second end caps. The filter assembly may further include a flow cap associated with the first end cap of the filter element. The flow cap may include an inlet portion configured to provide flow communication between an inlet port of a filter base and the tubular member of the filter element, and an outlet portion configured to provide flow communication between an outlet port of the filter base and an exterior portion of the filter element.

Abstract: A sensing system for sensing degradation of a machine fluid is disclosed. The sensing system may comprise a capsule including a dissolvable element. The dissolvable element may be configured to at least partially dissolve when placed in contact with the machine fluid having an acid content indicative of degradation of the machine fluid. The sensing system may further comprise a tracer encapsulated by the capsule. The tracer may be at least partially released from the capsule when the dissolvable element at least partially dissolves.

Abstract: A filter element may include a tubular element, first and second end caps, each associated with an opposite end of the tubular element, filter media positioned around the tubular element and between the first and second end caps, a biasing element associated with the tubular element, and a retainer element positioned at a first end of the tubular element. The retainer element may include a retainer aperture including a central circular portion and two opposite lateral slots extending from opposite sides of the central circular portion, and two arcuate shoulder segments extending between opposite sides of the two opposite lateral slots. A full tab may extend a first axial distance from a bottom surface of one of the two arcuate shoulder segments at a circumferential position in between the two opposite lateral slots, and a partial tab may extend a second axial distance less than the first axial distance from a bottom surface of the other of the two arcuate shoulder segments at a circumferential position on an opposite side of the lateral slots from the full tab.

Abstract: A fluid filter system is provided having a canister, a bowl, and a filter positioned inside the canister. The filter includes a sleeve defining a reservoir with filter media surrounding the reservoir. A cover is disposed on a first end of the sleeve and an end cap is disposed on a second end of the sleeve, the end cap having a lid extending across the filter media and sleeve. The bowl includes a sidewall, a floor, and an upper edge. The bowl further includes an upstanding post extending from a floor and the lid further includes a pocket formed along the lid. The pocket defines a cavity disposed outside of the reservoir and includes a threaded portion configured to threadably receive the upstanding post of the bowl. An O-ring seal provides a seal between the bowl and the canister when the upstanding post is threaded to the pocket.

The wheel assembly may further have an inner rim extending from a rim front end to a rim rear end. The inner rim may have a notch disposed at the rim front end and a tab disposed at the rim rear end. The tab may slidingly engage with the slot. The wheel assembly may have a locking block, which may slidingly engage with the notch and the slot at the front end. Further, the wheel assembly may have a bolt connecting the mounting block to the hub.

The end cap may include a plate transverse to the longitudinal axis of the tubular member, and a sealing wall coupled to the plate and extending transverse to the plate. The sealing wall may include a seal portion configured to be compressed between a filter canister and a portion of a filter base to provide a seal between the filter canister and the portion of the filter base.

Abstract: A system and method for filtering fuel using a fuel filtration system are disclosed. The fuel filtration system may include a fuel filter, a siphon mechanism and a filter shaft. A first end of the filter shaft may be connected to the fuel filter and a second end of the filter shaft may be connected to the siphon mechanism, each of the fuel filter, the siphon mechanism and the filter shaft may be positioned within a fuel tank. Fuel within the fuel tank may be filtered using the fuel filtration system by a siphon action.

The main reservoir filter is disposed fluidly along the supply conduit and adapted to filter a fluid drawn from the reservoir volume and provided through the supply conduit to a pump.
