Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the production of a polyurethane foam, comprising the reaction of a polyisocyanate and a polyol in the presence of a blowing agent and of particles. These particles are obtained by reacting (1) carrier particles with (2) a functionalising reagent G, wherein G contains reactive groups G1 by means of which G can be chemically bonded to the surface of the carrier particles, and wherein G also contains groups G2 which, under the conditions of the polyurethane foam production, are not reactive either towards the NCO groups of the polyisocyanate or towards the OH groups of the polyol, and wherein G1 and G2 may be the same or different. This invention relates also to a polyurethane foam produced by this process and to products containing such polyurethane foams. The present invention also relates to a composition containing a polyol and these particles. The present invention also relates to a composition containing a polyisocyanate and these particles. Both the mentioned compositions can be used to produce a polyurethane foam according to the invention.
Abstract:
A signal lamp for vehicles, specifically motor vehicles, has a housing in which at least one light source is positioned, and a light guide from which light is directed in a predetermined light exit direction, whereby the light guide is structured as a long stretched-out light-release element that extends at least in areas along an edge of a housing and/or of a reflector.
Abstract:
A measuring system for measurement of patient data inside a patient's body includes a flexible foil for implantation into the patient's body. At least one sensor is arranged on the flexible foil. A first telemetry unit is also arranged on the flexible foil. The telemetry unit is provided for receiving an inductive power transmission and for transmitting data. Strip conductors electrically connect the at least one sensor element to the telemetry unit. Preferably, the at least one sensor includes a pressure sensor for sensing the patient's brain or cranial pressure. The at least one sensor may optionally include a temperature sensor the patient's brain temperature. A second telemetry unit is located outside the patient's body for receiving the data from the first telemetry unit and for transmitting the inductive power transmission to the first telemetry unit.
Abstract:
An inspection system having a light source, a mirror sensor, and an image sensor. The mirror assembly is aligned with the camera; the light is reflected from the container to the camera, and the camera creates multiple images of the container at a viewing angle. The multiple images are analyzed to detect defects.
Abstract:
An actuation device for a flap mounted pivotably on a compartment, with a push-push kinematic, includes a first actuation part to be fastened on the flap and a second actuation part to be fastened on the component. The first actuation part engages with the second actuation part when the flap is moved from its opened position into its closed position, so that after a first stroke of the first actuation part in the direction of the second actuation part and a subsequent backstroke of the first actuation part, the actuation parts are held on each other in an arresting position. The arresting position is released by a second stroke of the first actuation part in the direction of the second actuation part so that the flap can be moved into its opened position, wherein the first actuation part and the second actuation part are disengaged.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing barber scissors (1), wherein the scissor blades (23, 33) are pre-shaped from blanks by a predetermined degree of curvature in the direction facing away from the edge. This is followed by a step of welding on a hard metal material in the form of a welding bead on respective mutually facing faces of the scissor blades (23, 33) in order to form the edges (24, 34), wherein the preliminary curvature of the scissor blades (23, 33) is neutralized owing to the influence of heat during the welding process. Subsequently the welding beads are ground so as to form the edges (24, 34), and the scissor halves (2, 3) are pre-set and hardened. Then the barber scissors (1) are hard-set in the assembled condition. The invention furthermore relates to barber scissors (1) having such a configuration. Here the edges (24, 34) are present as massive material over the entire thickness of the scissor blades (23, 33), so that even severally repeated re-grinding or re-setting of the barber scissors (1) is possible without any loss of functionality.
Abstract:
According to some embodiments, a method of operating a postal indicia printing apparatus comprises storing, in the apparatus, a first indicia image format comprising a first dimension, storing, in the apparatus, a second indicia image format comprising a second dimension that differs from the first dimension, prompting a user of the apparatus to select one of the first and second indicia image formats, receiving a signal indicative of a selection of one of the first and second indicia image formats, and printing, on a mail piece, an indicia image in accordance with the selected indicia image format.
Abstract:
The invention describes a device for determining the gas content of a liquid. The device has at least a housing, a measuring chamber base with a cavity and a measuring chamber cover inside the housing. The measuring chamber base and the measuring chamber cover are each movable by a respective piston independently of one another along the longitudinal axis of the housing. The measuring chamber base and the measuring chamber cover form a measuring chamber in the housing. The measuring chamber base or the measuring chamber cover is connected to a pressure sensor and the housing has a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet.
