Abstract: Embodiments are directed to intelligent scheduling of Wi-Fi services for applications. An embodiment of computer-readable storage mediums includes instructions for receiving data packets from multiple connected devices at a wireless access point and identifying an application traffic flow for each data packet; assigning each data packet to a respective queue of a first set of queues based on an identified application traffic flow for each data packet; selecting data packets from the first set of queues based on priorities for each of multiple applications; generating prioritized candidate lists for selected data packets in a second set of queues, each queue being dedicated for an access category for one or more application; and scheduling data packets from the candidate lists, including selecting a transmission mode for each access category based on characteristics of the one or more applications.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for network scanning. For example, the systems and methods can address AP scanning in the WiFi-6 context, where AP scanning frequency and the number of 6 GHz channels can be reduced. Additionally, the timing of AP scanning (on 2.4/5/6 GHz channels) can be adjusted to wait until STA's buffered frames are sent to AP and/or while a STA is asleep due to time TWT.

Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms for coordinated scanning in a mesh cluster. An organization of a wireless mesh cluster having at least one mesh portal, at least one mesh point is determined. For each of the at least one mesh points, a beacon offset value corresponding to each mesh point is determined. Off-channel scanning is coordinated for the mesh points utilizing the beacon offset value for the mesh points. During the off-channel scanning the mesh point discontinues transmission on a home channel and scans at least one other channel.

Abstract: Example method includes: allocating, by a main processor of a wireless access point (WAP) comprising at least the main processor and a plurality of co-processors wherein the main processor and the plurality of co-processors both have access to a random-access memory (RAM) co-located within the WAP, a dedicated non-overlapping segment of the RAM to each of the plurality of the co-processors; receiving, by the main processor of the WAP, a notification from one of the plurality of co-processors indicating that an exception previously defined by the one of the plurality of co-processors has occurred; determining, by the main processor of the WAP, the dedicated non-overlapping segment of the RAM allocated to the one of the plurality of co-processors; and saving, by the main processor of the WAP, the dedicated non-overlapping segment of the RAM allocated to the one of the plurality of co-processors to a fast access memory.
