Abstract: A method for wake-up radio group ID (GID) allocation includes generating, by an access point and prior to a station associating to the access point, a first Group-ID and a second Group-ID, wherein the station comprises a Wake-Up Radio, receiving, by the access point, a request from the station to associate, determining, by the access point, whether the station belongs in the first Group-ID or the second Group-ID, assigning, by the access point and based on the determining, the station to the first Group-ID, and sending, by the access point, a Wake-Up Packet to the Wake-Up Radio of the station using the first Group-ID.

Abstract: Systems and methods for uplink Resource Unit scheduling include receiving, by a network device and from each of a plurality of stations, a status of a buffer, determining for each of the plurality of stations, by the network device, whether the status of the buffer of a particular station exceeds a first threshold, a second threshold, or neither the first threshold or the second threshold, in response to the buffer of the particular station exceeding the first threshold, scheduling the particular station using Uplink Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output, in response to the buffer of the particular station exceeding the second threshold, scheduling the particular station using a scheduled RU, and in response to the buffer exceeding neither the first threshold or second threshold, scheduling the particular station using a random-access resource unit (RA-RU).

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to controlling a wake-up radio (WUR) in a wireless station side client device (STA-device). In one example, after the STA-device has received negotiation parameters from a wireless access point (AP) to establish a wireless association as a network connection between the STA-device and the AP. The PCR may be disabled in favor of the WUR. The WUR, which may use less power than the PCR, may then monitor for Beacon Frames (e.g., in the disclosed beacon loop) and Discovery Frames (e.g., in the disclosed discovery loop). Based on a state machine, that may be implemented as computer instructions executed by a hardware processor of the STA-device. Generally, the STA-device may use the WUR and state machine implementation to determine a proper time to re-enable the PCR for communication with the AP.

Abstract: Example method includes: receiving, by a first access point, a plurality of beamforming feedback frames from a plurality of client devices in a WLAN; overhearing, by the first access point, a first beamforming feedback frame from a second access point; calculating, by the first access point, a second beamforming feedback frame in response to receiving a sounding frame transmitted from the second access point in the WLAN; selecting, by the first access point, a first subset of the plurality of client devices and the second access point as members of a MU-MIMO group; changing, by the first access point, a steering matrix corresponding to the MU-MIMO group based on both the received plurality of beamforming feedback frames and the calculated beamforming feedback frame to allow the first access point and the second access point transmit on a particular wireless communication channel simultaneously without interfering each other.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes examples of the mechanism of a Supplemental Beacon. The Supplemental Beacon may be used as an additional beacon to an original main beacon in a Wi-Fi system. The Supplemental Beacon may be transmitted in a Short Interframe Space (SIFS) interval preceding the transmittance of the main beacon. Establishing set times of the Supplemental Beacon transmittance before the main beacon may allow client devices to wake up at consistent time intervals to receive data, and allow client devices to only remain awake for a short duration between the Supplemental Beacon transmittance and the main beacon transmittance before going back to sleep. The support of a Supplemental Beacon to the main beacon at fixed times of short duration before the main beacon that may allow the conservation of power of client devices and network devices in the Wi-Fi system, and increase productivity in the transmission of data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for defining a split multi-link system. For example, the split multi-link system can define a multi-link device (MLD), where the MLD operates a first radio from a first AP of a plurality of APs and a second radio from a second AP of the plurality of APs through a Media Access Control (MAC) Service Access Point (SAP) of the split multi-link system. The first radio from the first AP and the second radio from the second AP may operate at different frequencies. The split multi-link system may also affiliate the first radio from the first AP and the second radio from the second AP with the MLD, where, using the MLD, the split multi-link system can transmit or receive one or more data frames from the MLD to a non-MLD or MLD client device using the first radio or the second radio.
