Abstract:
The present invention provides a hydrogen-generating apparatus comprising two catalytic reactors cyclically operating reforming and regeneration (combustion) mode, in which the reduction in reforming efficiency associated with an increase in switching frequency to the regeneration reaction can be suppressed, and generation of hydrogen by reforming can stably be performed. In the reforming reaction, a cathode offgas discharged from a hydrogen-separation-membrane fuel cell 30 having a hydrogen-permeating film is supplied to PSR reformers 10 and 20, in which the reforming reaction and the regeneration reaction are performed alternately.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide an image display technology with which high contrast can be stably obtained. In order to achieve the above object, the present invention changes the gain of a digital luminance signal by feeding back information on maximum and average luminance levels of the luminance signal, adjusts image contrast, and in accordance with the average luminance level detected from the feedback system, controls the illuminance of the backlight applied to a display unit. The control increases the illuminance of the backlight when the detected average luminance level is higher than the upper-limit value of a previously set reference range, and reduces the illuminance when the detected average luminance level is lower than the lower-limit value of the reference range.

An object detecting system for detecting information about objects on vehicle seats utilizes a camera having a single view point, which is effective for conducting a rationalized setting for the viewing field of the camera. According to the setting for the viewing field of a camera in an object detecting system which is installed in a vehicle, an object on a front passenger seat is all covered by the viewing field of the camera while an object on a driver seat is completely covered by the viewing field of the camera.
Abstract:
In an imaging apparatus constituted of a case body for mounting an imaging device and a flexible substrate bonding to an external connection terminal provided on the case body, the flexible substrate is bent along each face of case body 41 so as to surround case body 41. By bending the flexible substrate, a load applied to the flexible substrate is received at the bent portion of the flexible substrate, there is formed a structure hard to transmit the load to the bonding portion to the external connection terminal. Further, by fixing the case body to a portion of the flexible substrate with an adhesive agent, etc., there is formed a structure not to transmit a stress to the direction of peeling the flexible substrate from the external connection terminal. Also, the case body is covered with the flexible substrate equipped with an electromagnetic wave shield material.

An air separator oxygen gas capable of producing oxygen gas in an energy-saving manner, thereby remarkable downsizing can be realized. The air separator includes an air compressor (1) for taking in air from the outside and compressing it, first adsorption towers (2,3) for concentrating oxygen gas that is contained in the air compressed by the air compressor (1), an oxygen/air compressor (11) for further compressing oxygen-rich compressed air (X) passed through the first adsorption towers (2,3), a main heat exchanger (21) for cooling oxygen-rich compressed air (Y) passed through the oxygen/air compressor (11), and a high-pressure rectification tower (23) and a low-pressure rectification tower (28) for taking out oxygen gas by separating the oxygen-rich compressed air (Y) passed through the main heat exchanger (21) so as to be cooled to a low temperature by utilizing differences in boiling points of elemental gases.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an image display technique for displaying a high-quality image by an image signal of appropriate color saturation. To this end, in the invention, color histogram information is detected from a color difference signal and average brightness information or brightness histogram information from a brightness signal. Based on the detected color histogram information and average brightness information or brightness histogram information, the demodulation axis of a color difference signal is adjusted, thereby controlling the color saturation (chroma) of an image. This enables display of an image having color intensity suited to the brightness and chroma of an image signal.
Abstract:
Avoiding an illumination light irregularity to the utmost under increasing degree of integration and the memory capacity by suppressing a light amount irregularity on the illumination pupil plane to the utmost, unable to be adjusted by a conventional method. When the light amount irregularity on the illumination pupil plane which is the exit surface of the optical fiber is relatively large, focus of the imaging surface of the CCD camera is switched from the sample to the illumination pupil plane by a focus switching lens. The light amount irregularity is calculated and analyzed by the image processor. Based on the analyzed result, the exit surface position of the optical fiber is adjusted in the illumination optical system. In this manner, the illumination pupil plane which is the exit surface of the optical fiber can be adjusted to an illumination pupil plane where the light amount irregularity is small.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a technique for performing gamma correction processing when there are a plurality of characteristic areas, each of which is characterized by the high frequency in a luminance histogram to improve the impression of contrast. According to the present invention, a luminance characteristic detector (4) detects the luminance of an input image signal and a microcomputer (5) calculates an APL and a luminance histogram of an input image signal. A gamma correction circuit (6) performs the gamma correction processing in response to the luminosity of the input image signal by use of the result of the calculation carried out by the microcomputer (5). Then, if there are a plurality of characteristic areas, each of which is characterized by the high frequency in the luminance histogram, a characteristic emphasis circuit (7) performs grayscale extension processing for the plurality of characteristic areas. This makes it possible to perform the most suitable processing in response to the input image signal so that the impression of contrast is improved.
Abstract:
To provide a seat weight measuring apparatus having advantages such as reduced production cost and assembling cost. The seat weight measuring apparatus comprises a seat frame for supporting the seat and a load sensor attached on the seat frame. The seat frame is provided with blocks respectively on the lower surfaces of the front ends of the left and right seat rails fixed thereon, and vehicle body mounting brackets are pivotally connected to the blocks. A load sensor is disposed under the front end of the load transmitting plate of the rear frame mounted on the rear ends of the seat rails. In the seat weight measuring apparatus in such a structure, the seat weight is supported at three points of; the pivotally connected portions at the front ends on the left and right sides and the load sensor at the rear center so as to be horizontal with respect to the floor of the vehicle body. Since there is provided a single load sensor, the production cost and the assembling/wiring cost are reduced in comparison with the related art.
Abstract:
To provide an occupant sensor that can reliably judge whether the object loaded on a seat is a child restraint system or an adult even when the child restraint system is fixed by using a seatbelt. The occupant sensor detects whether or not the seatbelt extraction amount sensor (switch) is ON. When the extraction amount sensor is ON, the object loaded on the seat is judged as being a child restraint system or a child. When the seatbelt extraction amount sensor is not ON, the sensor determines whether or not the value of load detected by the seat load sensor is not less than 30 kg. When the load is less than 30 kg, the occupant is judged as being an adult. When the load is less than 30 kg, the occupant is judged as being a child or a child restraint system.
