Abstract: An apparatus for directing fluid into and out of a fluidic device includes two or more fluid prime channels connected to a fluid inlet of the fluidic device, a flow control valve for each fluid prime channel to control flow between the fluid prime channel and the fluid inlet, one or more outlet channels connected to a fluid outlet of the fluidic device, and a flow control valve for each outlet channel to control flow between the fluid outlet and the associated outlet channel. An apparatus for delivering fluids to a fluid inlet includes a plate that is rotatable about an axis of rotation and a plurality of fluid compartments disposed on the plate, each compartment having a fluid exit port disposed at a common radial distance from the axis of rotation and positioned to align with the fluid inlet as the plate rotates about the axis of rotation.

Abstract: A circuit with electrical interconnect for external electronic connection and sensor(s) on a die are combined with a laminated manifold to deliver a liquid reagent over an active surface of the sensor(s). The laminated manifold includes fluidic channel(s), an interface between the die and the fluidic channel(s) being sealed. Also disclosed is a method, the method including assembling a laminated manifold including fluidic channel(s), attaching sensor(s) on a die to a circuit, the circuit including an electrical interconnect, and attaching a planarization layer to the circuit, the planarization layer including a cut out for the die. The method further includes placing sealing adhesive at sides of the die, attaching the laminated manifold to the circuit, and sealing an interface between the die and fluidic channel(s).

Abstract: An instrument includes a reagent management system. The reagent management system includes a plurality of reagent wells, each reagent well operable to contain a reagent of a plurality of reagents positioned therein. Abstract: Actuation systems and methods for use with flow cells. In accordance with an implementation, a method includes moving, using an actuator disposed within a manifold assembly, a membrane portion of a membrane of the manifold assembly away from a valve seat to enable fluidic flow from a reagent fluidic line to a common fluidic line. The membrane portion and the valve seat forming a membrane valve. The reagent fluidic line being fluidically coupled to a reagent reservoir. The common fluidic line being fluidically coupled to a flow cell. The common fluidic line has a common central axis and the reagent fluidic line has a reagent central axis that is non-collinear with the common central axis. The method includes urging the membrane portion against the valve seat to prevent fluidic flow from the reagent fluidic line to the common fluidic line.

Abstract: In one example, a flow cell includes a plurality of inlet ports sized to receive a flow of reagent from one of a plurality of reagents into the flow cell. An outlet port of the flow cell is sized to pass each flow of reagent out of the flow cell. A flow channel of the flow cell is positioned between, and in fluid communication with, each inlet port and the outlet port. The flow channel includes a manifold section and a detection section. The manifold section has a plurality of manifold branches in fluid communication with a common line, wherein each branch is connected to one of each inlet port. The detection section is in fluid communication with the common line and the outlet port. The detection section is operable to perform a plurality of different chemical reactions between the plurality of reagents and analytes positioned in the detection section.
