    Abstract: The pushbutton combination lock has a lock bolt mechanism with a lock bolt movably mounted on a frame between a locking position and an unlocking position. The lock bolt mechanism further has two lock bolt actuating mechanisms arranged to move the lock bolt between the locking position and the unlocking position. The lock has a pushbutton combination locking mechanism for locking the first lock bolt actuating mechanism to prevent the lock bolt from being moved by the first lock bolt actuating mechanism to the unlocking position while the second lock bolt actuating mechanism is independent from the pushbutton combination locking mechanism. The pushbutton combination locking mechanism is further rotatably or slidably mounted to the frame such that the user can choose the side for locking and the side for free operation.

    Abstract: A control assembly for controlling rotation of a turnstile, includes a torque-restoring mechanism (13) with springs (20), a motion converting transmission with a multiplying gearing (56, 57) converting a rotation of the turnstile over 120° into a rotation of the rotary shaft entering the hydraulic damper (26) over 180°. The hydraulic damper (26) has two pistons mounted onto a single piston rod. A cam or crank mechanism converts rotation of the rotary shaft into reciprocating motion of the two pistons. The first piston damps the rotary movement of the turnstile when moving in one direction while the other piston damps this movement when the pistons move in the other direction, therefore damping the turnstile in both directions. A motion converting transmission in combination with a double-piston mechanism avoids any loss of hydraulic fluid, while achieving a gradually increasing damping force to effectively stop the rotation of the turnstile.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a mechanism for closing a hinged member which comprises a resilient element for effecting closure of the hinged member and a hydraulic damper 5. The hydraulic damper 5, comprising a closed cylinder cavity 20 within a cylinder barrel 19, a rotational damper shaft 22 which extends into the cylinder cavity 20, and a piston 21, placed within the cylinder barrel 19 so as to divide the cylinder cavity 20 into a first side 20a above the piston 21 and a second side 20b below the piston 21. An outer perimeter surface of the piston 21 presents a clearance fit with an inner perimeter surface 27 of the cylinder barrel 19 at 20° C. The cylinder barrel 19 is made of a first material and the piston 21 of a second material which has a higher thermal expansion coefficient than the first material. In this way variations of the viscosity of the hydraulic fluid as a result of pressure fluctuations are compensated for by an increase or a decrease of the cross-section area of the clearance.

    Abstract: A fixture set includes an accessory part, and at least one means for fixing the accessory part to a front surface of a wall of a hollow frame, through a hole provided through the wall. The fixing means includes an anchor, a bolt screwed into the anchor and a splitter arranged between the head of the bolt and the anchor. The anchor is entirely inserted in the hole and includes at least two parts which are radially expandable by the splitter, when tightening the bolt, to lock the anchor against the back surface of the wall. The splitter and the anchor include mutually interlockable structures for substantially restricting rotation of the anchor relative to the splitter. The accessory part, or an intermediate accessory piece arranged between the accessory part and the wall, includes a solid connection for substantially restricting rotation of the splitter relative to the accessory part.

    Abstract: The lock mechanism comprises a first subunit (6) arranged to be fixed on an outer face of an upright tubular member (7) of the hinged leaf and a second subunit (8) arranged to be fixed within the tubular member (7). The second subunit (8) comprises a frame (9), a bolt member (10) movably mounted on said frame (9) between a projected and a retracted position, and a bolt operating mechanism which comprises a gear train (20, 21, 22) to increase the travel of the bolt member (10). The first subunit (6) comprises operator means (26, 28, 29). The lock mechanism further comprises a rotary shaft (32) by means of which the bolt operating mechanism can be coupled to the operator means so that only a hole has to be made in the tubular member (7) of the leaf. The operator means comprise a hinged lever (26) movable between a pushed in position and a pulled out position, the bolt member (10) moving from its projected to its retracted position when the lever (26) is moved from its pushed in to its pulled out position and vice versa. In this way, the bolt member (10) is locked in its projected position, wherein it extends in a reception hole in the ground, when the double door or gate is closed.

    Abstract: A lock including a frame, a handle operated latch bolt, a handle shaft, a latch bolt actuating mechanism and a mechanism for locking the handle shaft. The latch bolt locking mechanism includes a locking lever which is fixed with respect to the handle shaft and arranged to cooperate with a stop element on the frame. The latch bolt locking mechanism further includes an electromagnet which moves the locking lever with respect to the handle shaft or the stop element with respect to the frame so that the locking lever can be unlocked and locked behind the stop element. The locking device, which is either formed by the locking lever or by the stop element, is movable by the electromagnet in a direction forming an angle greater than about 45°, preferably greater than about 65°, with a flat plane extending at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the handle shaft. A more reliable locking and unlocking of the handle shaft can be produced.
