Abstract:
Methods and systems for identifying, retrieving and analyzing social media data pertinent to a business' customers to derive personal information that can be used for targeted advertising, thereby helping the business improve and grow. A scanning engine searches social media spaces to identify the presence of a business' customers. A data engine will collect the social activity data from the various social networking sites based upon social presence identified by the scanning engine. An analytic engine will analyze the information collected by the data engine. This will give a business a 360 degree view of its business and customers and help the business to find the cause behind the effect and develop the right strategy to improve and grow its business.
Abstract:
A signal device includes a signal composite made with a coextruded film having at least two layers, a polymer skin layer and a stimulation layer. The stimulation layer includes a cooling agent and a polymer binder. The stimulation layer may be about 50 to 98 percent by weight of the signal composite. The signal device may be used in an absorbent article to provide a cooling sensation after a body-fluid insult has taken place.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the new usage of puerarin in the field of pharmaceutical products, in other words, it relates to the application of puerarin in the preparation of drugs for P2X3 mediated pain/nervous system diseases. The experiment shows that puerarin can inhibit pain-related behavioral responses, subsequently immunohistochemical analysis, in situ hybridization, RT-PCR, protein blotting and other techniques were utilized to observe the inhibition of puerarin on mRNA and protein expression of P2X3 receptor in dorsal root ganglion of rats with neuropathic pain and in dorsal root ganglion and sensory nerve ending in the burn model of rats, it was found by using whole-cell patch clamp technique that puerarin can significantly reduce the electric current activated by P2X3 receptor agonist in the neuron of dorsal root ganglion of rats with neuropathic pain. The experiment proves that the mechanism for the inhibitory effects of puerarin on acute and chronic pain is to block the transmission of pain sense information that is mediated by P2X3 receptor in primary sensory neurons. The invention provides a kind of new method for the prevention and treatment on acute and chronic pain, and it also indicates that puerarin can act as a antagonist for P2X3 receptor, which will be helpful for the application of drugs in the prevention and treatment on P2X3 receptor involved nervous system diseases.
Abstract:
A dispersible wet wipe constructed of at two layers is disclosed. The first outer layer of the wipe substrate may have a density of between about 0.5 and 2.0 grams per cubic centimeter. The second outer layer may have a density of between about 0.05 and 0.15 grams per cubic centimeter. A triggerable binder composition binds said web substrate together. The wet wipe also includes a wetting composition including at least 0.3 percent of an insolubilizing agent.

Abstract:
One embodiment of the surface mount LED package includes a lead frame and a plastic casing at least partially encasing the lead frame. The lead frame includes a plurality of electrically conductive chip carriers. There is an LED disposed on each one of the plurality of electrically conductive chip carriers. A profile height of the surface mount LED package is less than about 1.0 mm.
Abstract:
A bottle includes a reservoir comprising a top main opening, a threaded neck, and a shoulder adjacent the neck; a flexible, disc-shaped dispensing device comprising a central bottom riser; grooves extending from the riser, each groove having an outlet opening, top projecting members each having one end of the outlet opening terminated thereon, and a central recess with the projecting members therearound; an internally threaded retaining ring secured to the neck to fasten the dispensing device on the reservoir with the outlet openings being exposed; and a cap comprising a bottom post inserted into the recess when the cap is secured to the shoulder so as to flexibly deform both the recess and the riser to seal the main opening.
Abstract:
Double strength loppers employ double leverage effects and have two crossed pivoting blades, a main blade and an auxiliary blade, an upper handle and a lower handle correspondingly matching with the two blades, an upper gear at the end of the upper handle and a lower gear at the end of the lower handle. The lower gear matches with the blade driving gear and the blade driving gear matches with the auxiliary blade. When swinging the upper handle and/or the lower handle, a first leverage effect is created from a first fulcrum that is the contact point between the upper gear and the lower gear, while a second leverage effect is created from a second fulcrum that is the contact point between the lower gear and the blade driving gear. Such double levers and double strength effects significantly reduce the force applied upon the handles, therefore reducing the required labor.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process and plant for the recovery of carbon dioxide from a gas stream by means of pressure swing adsorption using an adsorbent, such as X or Y type Zeolite adsorbents. The gas feed stream suitably has a moderate concentration of carbon dioxide, such as gas emitted from the filling bowl of the carbonated drinks bottling plant and is recovered without rinsing or purging the adsorbent with a high purity carbon dioxide gas stream. The process therefore provides the advantage of being capturing carbon dioxide from the effluent that would otherwise be emitted to the atmosphere and captures the carbon dioxide in a manner that minimises operational and capital expenditure. The present invention also relates to a process for utilizing one dry stream from a gas separation unit (adsorption or membrane process) to conduct evaporative cooling of water, which is used as the water in a liquid ring vacuum pump thereby decreasing the vacuum level and improving the performance.
Abstract:
There are disclosed therapeutic compositions and methods using isolated nucleic acid molecules encoding a human myeloid progenitor inhibitory factor-1 (MPIF-1) polypeptide (previously termed MIP-3 and chemokine β8 (CKβ8 or ckb-8)); a human monocyte-colony inhibitory factor (M-CIF) polypeptide (previously termed MIP1-γ and chemokine β1 (CKβ1 or ckb-1)), and a macrophage inhibitory protein-4 (MIP-4), as well as MPIF-1, M-CIF and/or MIP-4 polypeptides themselves, as are vectors, host cells and recombinant methods for producing the same.
