Abstract: The present disclosure provides devices, systems and methods directed towards smart plurality of sensors for power management. More specifically, the present disclosure provides devices, systems and methods that can reduce the amount of power consumed by the plurality of sensors by evaluating when sensors should be activated or deactivated. By reducing the amount of time a particular sensor is actively polling for information, power consumed by the plurality of sensors associated with the wearable device can be reduced.

Abstract: A computer implemented method for providing pain management using a wearable device determines a predictive model estimating an intensity level of pain as a function of at least one physiological parameter of a user of the wearable device and at least one activity of the user. The activity of the user includes one or combination of a type of the activity, a level of the activity, a location of the activity, and a duration of the activity. The method determines measurements of physiological and activity sensors of the wearable device to produce values of the physiological parameter and the activity of the user and predicts the intensity level of the pain based on the predictive model and the values of the physiological parameter and the activity of the user. The method executes actions based on the predicted intensity level of pain.

Abstract: The present invention provides computer-implemented methods and systems for monitoring and informing a user about known side effects of drugs (e.g., prescription, over-the-counter) using a wearable device, the method including: polling for sensor data from a wearable device; the sensor data indicating one or more vital signs measurement parameters of a user, wherein the sensor data is used for evaluating whether one or more known side effects has been detected; transmitting a request for information to various networks, the information request including identification of at least one drug the user is using; receiving the requested information from the various networks for monitoring and detecting one or more known side effects of the identified drug; storing the received information from the various networks into memory of the wearable device; evaluating, for each identified drug, the obtained sensor data with the stored information received from the various networks pertaining to that identified drug; determining whether one or more known side effects have been detected, wherein the determination is based on the evaluation of the sensor data with the stored information about the identified drug; executing one or more actions to notify the user and other third parties based on the detected one or more known side effects; and executing an algorithm to adjust the drug delivery regime responsive to the determination that one or more known side effects have been detected.

Abstract: Various embodiments described herein include systems and methods directed towards allowing a wearable device with one or more sensors to communicate with a third-party network or device. The wearable device's software may include user interfaces wherein a user may select a data set from a particular sensor and allocate a security level associated with that sensor's data and with a particular third-party network. Different security levels may be correlated to different protections, such as encryption or password-protection of data, or ensuring that an agreement has been signed, or ensuring that the third party is identified in a database before transmission. Before sending any sensor data or receiving any third party data, the wearable device may check this user-allocated security level, executes any required security precautions, and allows or denies the data transfer accordingly. Security levels may also govern receipt of data by the wearable device from the third party.
