Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method, network device, and apparatus for transmitting a preemption indication and a method, terminal device, and apparatus for receiving a preemption indication. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the method of transmitting a preemption indication may comprise transmitting a preemption indication to a terminal device, wherein the preemption indication indicates information on a portion of resources allocated to a first transmission which is preempted by a second transmission, and wherein the preemption indication is associated with information on structure of the current slot. In embodiments of the present disclosure, by means of information on structure of a subframe, the indication monitoring and overhead for the preemption indication can be reduced remarkably, thereby providing a much more efficient preemption indication solution.

In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the method of DL data transmission may comprise receiving, from a network device, information on an ending position of uplink data transmission on the unlicensed band; and determining the ending position of uplink data transmission from the information on the starting position of uplink data transmission, wherein the determined ending position of uplink data transmission is associated with a carrier numerology used by the terminal device. With embodiments of the present disclosure, it could enable the UL data transmission on the unlicensed band in the NR system and thus improve the performance of the NR system.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatuses for control resource mapping. In example embodiments, a method implemented in a communication device is provided. According to the method, REG indices for a plurality of REGs are obtained in a control channel region. The REG bundle indices are determined based on the REG indices and a pattern of REG bundle. The pattern of REG bundle indicates the number of REGs in the frequency domain and the number of OFDM symbols in the time domain. CCE indices are determined based on the determined REG bundle indices and the number of CCEs in the control channel region. The CCE indices are continuous with respect to the REG bundle in the frequency domain.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for determining HARQ timing in a communication system supporting Carrier Aggregation (CA) are provided. A method for receiving, at a BS, a HARQ feedback from a UE in a communication system supporting CA of a Pcell and at least one Scell is provided. The Pcell and Scell support either FDD or TDD. The method comprises: transmitting a downlink physical channel through one of the Pcell and Scell; receiving the HARQ feedback corresponding to the downlink physical channel of the Pcell at a first timing predetermined for the Pcell; and receiving the HARQ feedback corresponding to the downlink physical channel of the Scell at a second timing. The second timing is determined according to one or more of duplex modes of the Pcell and the Scell, a scheduling mode of the Scell, and predefined rules.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and apparatus of transmitting uplink (UL) information and a method and apparatus of receiving UL information. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the method of transmitting UL information comprises transmitting a reference signal using a first sequence; and transmitting UL control information using a second sequence; wherein a reference signal and the UL control information are staggered-multiplexed in frequency domain. With embodiments of the present disclosure, the uplink information can be transmitted in reduced uplink symbols so as to adapt for a proposed subframe structure with reduced uplink symbols and thus, the transmission latency can be reduced greatly.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a solution for uplink signal receiving and transmission in a wireless communication system. Length indication information is transmitted to terminal devices. The length indication information indicates a length of reference signal sequences for uplink control information to be transmitted by different terminal devices in a short duration within the same transmission resource, which can be configured so that reference signals for the uplink control information of different terminal devices can be orthogonal with each other. The uplink control information and reference signals with the length of reference signal sequence as indicated by the length indication information can be received from the terminal devices. With embodiments of the present disclosure, a flexible, dynamic DMRS length indication solution is provided, which can address can address the orthogonality issue resulted from different sizes of UCI. In some embodiments, it can further address resource allocation issues related to UCI transmission in the short duration.
