Abstract: Various implementations described herein are directed to a non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon a plurality of computer-executable instructions which, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to: receive a range of headings at a marine electronics device and analyze sonar data received from a sonar device coupled to a vessel to determine a first characteristic measured at a first location. The first characteristic may be a bottom hardness, a bottom composition, a transition between bottom compositions, a water temperature, or a thermocline. The instructions may further cause the computer to: compare the first characteristic to a second characteristic measured at a second location and transmit instructions to an autopilot to move the vessel in a heading in the range of headings. The instructions are based at least in part on the comparison between the first characteristic and the second characteristic.

Abstract: One or more transducer assemblies configured for multiple mounting options is provided. An example transducer assembly includes a housing configured to retain at least one sonar transducer. The housing includes a body having at least a top, a bottom, a first end, and a second end. The housing includes a first mounting feature integral to the housing and disposed proximate the first end, which is configured to mount the housing to a hull of watercraft to facilitate at least a first type of mounting. The housing also includes a second mounting feature integral to the housing and formed proximate the top of the body, which is configured to mount the housing to at least one of a watercraft or a trolling motor according to at least one second type of mounting. The at least one second type of mounting is different than the first type of mounting.

Abstract: A wireless sonar receiver is provided including a wireless receiver configured to receive sonar data from a wireless sonar transducer configured to receive sonar returns from an underwater environment as first sonar return data, convert the first sonar return data into sonar image data, and transmit the sonar image data wirelessly to the wireless sonar receiver. The wireless sonar receiver also includes a receiver processor and a receiver memory including computer program code configured to, with the receiver processor, cause the wireless sonar receiver to convert the sonar image data to second sonar return data corresponding to the sonar returns received by the wireless sonar transducer. The wireless sonar transducer also includes an output port configured to transmit the second sonar return data to a marine electronic device for processing of the second sonar return data to generate at least one sonar image for display on a user interface.

Abstract: An apparatus for providing marine information is provided including a user interface, a processor, and a memory including computer program code. The memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the processor, cause the apparatus to generate a sonar image based on sonar return data received from an underwater environment, determine a location associated with the sonar return data based on location data received from one or more position sensors, and render a nautical chart on a display. The computer program code is further configured to cause the apparatus to receive a user input on the user interface directed to a portion of the display in which the nautical chart is presented, and modify presentation of the nautical chart such that the portion of the display presents the sonar image in response to receiving the user input.
