A control assembly (10) for controlling the actuation of two clutch packs (50, 52) includes a motor (12) for driving an annular gear wheel (24). Radial pins (30) project from the gear wheel to engage concentric pistons (34, 36) arranged for linear movement relative to one another along the axis of rotation of the gear wheel. Each piston includes slots (40) which define cam surfaces for engagement by the drive pins. Rotation of the gear wheel in first direction causes the pins to drive against cam surfaces on the inner piston, to drive the inner piston towards the inner clutch. Rotation of the gear wheel in the opposite direction causes the pins to drive against cam surfaces on the outer piston, to drive the outer piston towards the outer clutch.

The present invention relates to consensus nucleotide and protein sequences for HIV-1 Clade A antigens, and to nucleotide and protein sequences for Clade A antigens from circulating HIV-1 field isolates wherein the antigen sequences are closely related to the these consensus sequences. In a preferred embodiment, the present invention relates to HIV-1 Clade A transgenes that are derived from such sequences, and that encode either HIV-1 Clade A Gag, Pol (RT and Int), and Nef (referred to as “GRIN”), HIV-1 Clade A Gag, RT, and Nef (referred to as (“GRN”), or HIV-1 Clade A Env. The invention also relates to vectors containing such transgenes, including in preferred embodiment, adenovirus vectors containing such transgenes. The invention also relates to immunogenic compositions comprising the HIV-1 Clade A antigens, nucleotide sequences, vectors, or transgenes of the invention, and to methods of generating an immune response against HIV in a subject by administering an effective amount of such immunogenic compositions.

A filter unit for filtering particulates and other foreign matter from a water supply, comprising a filtering chamber. At least a portion of an exterior of the filtering chamber being provided with filtering chamber in use. The mesh being sized to filter particulates and other foreign matter from the water. The filter unit further comprising an outlet through which filtered water exits the filter unit, and a rotatable member located within the filtering chamber, the rotatable member having at least one outlet spaced from an internal face of a mesh. The axis of rotation of the rotatable member being such that the at least one outlet traverses at least a substantial portion of the internal face of a mesh. The filter unit further comprising a dedicated pump having an inlet communicating with the filtering chamber and an outlet communicating solely with the rotatable member such that operation of the pump causes filtered water from within the filtering chamber to be pumped through the rotatable member to exit the at least one outlet and impinge on the internal face of the mesh so as to cause particulates and other foreign matter located on an external face of the mesh to be dislodged.
