    Abstract: An operating method of a touch sensor includes sensing first touch intensities in a first touch-sensing area by using first touch cells, sensing second touch intensities in a second touch-sensing area that is adjacent to the first touch-sensing area by using second touch cells each having an area that is smaller than that of each of the first touch cells, grouping some second touch cells among the second touch cells as a touch-sensing group having a same area as one of the first touch cells, calculating a representative touch intensity of the touch-sensing group by using the second touch intensities sensed by second touch cells in the touch-sensing group, and detecting a touch position by using the first touch intensities and the representative touch intensity.

    Abstract: A display device includes a light sensing array layer (LSAL), a substrate, a selective light transmission layer (SLTL), a pixel circuit layer (PCL), a display element layer (DEL), and pixels. The LSAL includes an optical sensor to sense incident light. The substrate is on the LSAL and includes a display area (DA) including pixel areas (PAs), and a non-DA adjacent to the DA. The SLTL is disposed on the substrate and includes through-holes to form a path of light onto the optical sensor, and a light-blocking conductive pattern (LBCP) between the through-holes. The PCL is disposed on the SLTL and includes a conductive layer and an insulation layer. The DEL is disposed on the PCL and emits light. Each pixel includes a pixel circuit disposed on the PCL, and a light emitting element on the DEL in a corresponding pixel area. The LBCP is electrically connected to the conductive layer.

    Abstract: A touch screen panel and a driving method thereof. The touch screen panel includes a touch pad unit including a plurality of receiver pads and a plurality of transmitter pads combined with the receiver pads, and a touch sensing unit for determining a touch position, based on changes in mutual capacitance between the receiver pads and the transmitter pads. The touch sensing unit determines maximum values for every column by scanning touch sensing signals in the column direction of the touch pad unit, decides whether rows having maximum values for every column are the same, when the rows having the maximum values for every column are not the same, determines a greatest value by comparing all values of the scanned touch sensing signals, and determines touch coordinates through a combination of transmitter and receiver pads corresponding to the position at which the greatest value exists.

    Abstract: A fingerprint sensor including first, second, and third lines, and a unit sensor coupled to the first, the second, and the third lines.
