Abstract:
A motor vehicle has at least one movable roof part which extends in the closed position between lateral frame parts positioned above side windows and can be displaced from this position into an open position held inside the auto body. In the open position, the frame can be disassembled, and the frame parts may be separable from each other or hinged together.
Abstract:
A Targa roof system for a vehicle includes a roof part (10) for spanning a compartment between a cross member (4), including the upper side of a windshield, and a traverse cross beam (8), which traversely spans a vehicle inner compartment and is spaced from the cross member (4). Guide elements (20, 22) are affixed in the rear area of the roof part (10) on both sides thereof, the guide elements being spaced from each other in the longitudinal direction of the roof part. The roof part (10) is pivotable from its closed position about the two guide elements (20, 22), which oppose each other with reference to the vehicle width, and subsequently is lowerable downwardly guided along the guide rails (24) into a stowed position by the forward guide element (20) and the rear guide element (22) without pivoting.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a motor vehicle (1) provided with a roof (2) comprising at least one part (3) thereof which is fully movable for the opening thereof and extends from an area adjacent to a wind screen frame (4) to the rear particularly rigid part (5) of the roof transversely covering the entire width between the upper edges of the side windows (7) of said motor vehicle. The inventive motor vehicle is characterised in that the movable part (3) of the roof can be arranged in the fully opened prosition thereof ahove the rear rigid part (5) of the roof.
Abstract:
Convertible vehicles (1) may include a vehicle body (6) defining a window shoulder line (5) along its upper edge. A foldable roof (2) preferably includes a rear window (4) disposed within a rear roof portion (3) and the foldable roof can be stored substantially completely within the vehicle body and below the window shoulder line. First and second tensioning bow portions (16a) extend substantially laterally with respect to the rear window and substantially in parallel with a central longitudinal axis of the vehicle. A first end of each tensioning bow portion may be pivotably coupled to the vehicle body and a second end of each tensioning bow portion may be pivotably coupled to the rear window. A gap or space is preferably between the tensioning bow portions proximal to the window shoulder line. At least a portion of the rear window optionally may extend within the gap or space when the roof is disposed in the roof closed position. A flexible water channel (22) preferably couples the vehicle body to the foldable roof.
Abstract:
A convertible vehicle including a folding top frame constructed in mirror-image fashion to a longitudinal median plane of the vehicle and having a rear folding top clamping collar. The folding top clamping collar can be shifted jointly with a folding top about a main bearing fastened to the car body and stowed in a rear folding top compartment. The flexible roof skin has, in the rear region, a rear window which extends above the folding top clamping collar and can be detached in the region of the lower transverse side edge from the folding top clamping collar. The rear window is supported in the closed position with its lower transverse side edge directly above and on the folding top clamping collar. A control assembly is linked to the frame encompassing the rear window in U-shaped fashion such that the frame with the rear window can be lifted from the folding top clamping collar during a movement of the folding top and shifted to a distance and an angle relative to the folding top clamping collar.
Abstract:
A convertible vehicle has a folding top frame (3) with a rear folding top clamping collar (4; 4′; 4″), which is constructed in mirror image fashion to the longitudinal median plane (2) of the vehicle. By being shifted about a main bearing (5) attached to the car body, a folding top (7) can be stowed in or returned from a rear folding top compartment (8). The flexible roof skin (6) has in the rear region particularly a dimensionally stable rear window (9) with an essentially rectangular circumferential contour, which extends above the folding top clamping collar (4; 4′; 4″). Only in the region of the upper transverse side edge (10) as well as of its two longitudinal side edges (11, 12) is the dimensionally stable rear window (9) provided with a connection taking hold of the flexible roof skin (6). A lower transverse side edge (13) of the rear window (9) is supported in the closed position of the folding top (7) directly from above on the folding top clamping collar (4; 4′) in a detachable connecting engagement.
Abstract:
A convertible roof includes an outer cover with a recess defined therein. The roof has a front roof edge which joins the windshield frame when the convertible roof is in a closed position. The front region of the roof includes a rigid assembly disposed under the cover. The rigid assembly includes a frame part. A sun roof part is received in the recess defined by the cover and is openable to a position raised out of a plane defined by the roof cover. The recess defined by the cover is open to the front.
Abstract:
A top for a convertible vehicle with a flexible roof panel, which is attached to an arrangement of convertible-top rods and, in its rear area, to an attachment device of the vehicle body, in which a clamping device, acting on the flexible roof panel in the region of its attachment to the vehicle body in the closed state of the convertible top, is provided. The clamping device is designed with at least one bracket that forces the flexible roof panel in the closed state of the convertible top against an auto-body closure seal.
Abstract:
A convertible vehicle has a vehicle body with a passenger compartment defined therein and a rear region with a top storage well defined therein. A retractable roof is movable between a closed position extending over the passenger compartment and a stowed position in the top storage well. The top storage well has a base region that is movable between a raised position and a lowered position. The base region covers an intermediate space between the rearward side of the seats and the inner side of the rear roof region when the roof is in the closed position and the base region is in the raised position. A coupling linkage interconnects the base region with the rear roof region such that movement of the retractable roof from the stowed position to the closed position causes movement of the base region.
