Abstract:
A method for registering color measured values on printing materials with a color sensor includes registering the color measured values on the printing materials at different angles of observation of the color sensor. The angular dependence of the color measured values registered on the printing materials at different angles of observation is corrected in a computer.
Abstract:
To perform a method for identifying color measuring strips having measuring areas on printed products, the color measuring strips are scanned with a color measuring instrument. The measured color values acquired by the color measuring instrument are stored in a computer and that the measured color values acquired are each assigned to a printing ink. A sequence formed in this way of printing inks is stored in the computer and then compared with color measuring strip types stored in the computer. The stored color measuring strip type having the greatest probability is then selected.
Abstract:
A method and a measuring device are proposed for controlling the color application of a printing press (10) using at least one ink-feeding device (20) on the basis of spectral reflectance values of printed surface elements (24) on a print substrate (22), which are distinguished in that measured spectral reflectance values are converted into corrected spectral reflectance values. The method and/or the measuring device can be advantageously used in a printing system having a printing press (10), to implement a control on the basis of polarized spectral reflectance values, in particular for a detector (28) which measures unpolarized spectral reflectance values.

A mounting plate (1) having one or more parts for indirectly or directly attaching a tester (2) for electronic components on the one side and a handler (3) for electronic components on the other side, comprising at least a single plate (4) on the side of the tester’ and a single plate (5) on the side of the handler or three or more single plates which are slidable in opposite directions in the x and/or y and/or z direction and lockable.
Abstract:
A method for image inspection and color guidance for printing products of a printing press, in which in on-line operation, actual image data of the printed images of the printed products are obtained and compared with nominal image data for the purpose of locating image defects, which comprises the steps of checking, upon the appearance of a defect, before any change in the ink feed is made, as to whether on the basis of the type of defect, some other cause than the color guidance for the deviation is possible.
Abstract:
A process for controlling coloration in multicolor printing, wherein a photoelectric measuring arrangement (3) is used to obtain actual color measurement values from the printed image (4), wherein the actual color measurement values are compared with specified setpoint color measurement values, and wherein the comparison signals are supplied to a color controlling device (12), with the layer thickness of the ink to be applied to a material to be printed (1) being controllable by means of color controlling elements (12), monitoring signals are continuously derived at selected measuring locations (8), whereby the number of the measuring locations (8) is increased if the monitoring signals exceed a specified threshold value and the actual color measurement values obtained at the increased number (N2) of measuring locations (8) are processed into comparison signal. The invention can be used in multicolor printing machines.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for controlling or regulating the coloration in a printing press, in which color metering elements are adjusted with the aid of a control or regulating device, and in which by means of at least one image pickup device associated with the printing press, picture signals are obtained continuously from the printed image and supplied to the control or regulating device. Provision is made so that a plurality of control or regulating algorithms are available for selection to the control or regulating device, and from among these algorithms, as a function of predeterminable parameters, a control or regulating algorithm is automatically selected and used.
Abstract:
A method for regulating inking when printing with a printing press, which includes, by means of at least one sensor element directed towards the surface of a recording carrier at a given measurement site, deriving actual-value signals from at least one physical variable representing the inking; comparing the actual value signals with reference-value signals for the physical variable at the same measurement site; deriving, in accordance with a prescribed principle, control signals for control elements for the physical variable from the comparison-value signals obtained, and feeding the derived control signals to a control element; and placing the actual value in a range of reference values by means of the control element and holding it there automatically; further includes acting upon the control elements with defined control signals during a startup phase of the printing press; obtaining actual-value signals from a multiplicity of measurement sites in the entire printed surface of the recording carrier; determining, for each physical variable to be controlled and for each measurement site, changes in the actual-value signals with respect to the control signals to be defined; selecting measurement sites wherein the changes occur most markedly; and regulating the physical variables exclusively at the selected measurement sites, in a production-run phase of the printing press.
Abstract:
A method apparatus for selectively passing various types of telephony information between a data communications port on a digital telephone and a computer run application program. In one embodiment, the application program can select a subset of telephony events by way of a telephony command to the telephone's data communication port. This command is processed by a telephony command processor within the data communications controller which, in turn, sets a programmable event mask within the telephone. In response to the event mask being set, only the selected telephony events are spontaneously reported to the host computer and application program.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a method and an arrangement for controlling the power of a drive unit of a motor vehicle wherein a power-output element is set on the basis of an operator-controlled element actuated by the driver and the power-output element can assume positions different with respect to the position of the operator-controlled element depending upon operating range. A maximum permissible position of the power-output element is determined on the basis of the position of the operator-controlled element as well as on the basis of data with respect to the operating range for function monitoring the setting of the power-output element and a fault is then detected when the actual position of the power-output element exceeds the maximum permissible value.
