Abstract:
A novel garment pocket, and method for making said pocket, for the rapid extraction and deployment of a weapon concealed therein. One or more edges of the pocket are reversibly attached to the garment proper by means of quick release, easily disengaged, readily releasable, or break away fasteners. Said edge or edges being located and positioned to permit said weapon to be extracted from said pocket by means of a substantially forward thrust of the hand grasping the weapon through said edge or edges attached by said fasteners. Said hand being the one on the arm that is on the same side of the body as said garment pocket. The pocket of the present embodiments enables the weapon to be extracted from the pocket with a reduced chance of snagging and danger to the garment wearer.

Disclosed is an adhesive pocket that can removably attach to an article of clothing or directly onto a user's skin underneath clothing. The pocket of the present invention comprises closed side ends, a closed lower end, and an open upper end that provides access to a defined interior volume therein. In one embodiment, the open upper end comprises a flap attached thereto, wherein the flap comprises a first fastener at an underside thereof. The first fastener can be removably secured to a second fastener on the pocket so as to securely close the upper end. In another embodiment, the open upper end comprises a zip-lock enclosure. The pocket can attach to an article of clothing or onto the user's skin by means of an adhesive material disposed on a back side of the pocket. Additionally, the pocket is waterproof so as to keep the contents therein dry.

An undergarment in the form of boxer shorts includes a concealed inside pocket on the front panel for holding valuables and other items such as, but not limited to, a credit card, a membership or I.D. card, paper and coin currency and keys. The pocket hangs freely on the inside of the boxer shorts and is secured to the front panel at a top open pocket mouth. A horizontal slit opening on the front panel, just below the waistband of the boxer shorts, communicates with the pocket mouth to permit placement and removal of the items carried in the pocket. A zipper or other closure mechanism is provided for securing the slit opening closed, thereby safely containing the items in the pocket. Opposing flaps along the horizontal slit opening on the outside of the front panel help to conceal the pocket mouth and closure mechanism.

A pocket loss prevention device for pockets to retain the contents of a pocket against loss or unauthorized removal. The device includes a flat rectangular insert of elastic material that is secured to the inside face of the pocket at the mouth of the pocket. An article to be secured is inserted into the pocket and up under the resilient insert. This will prevent articles such as a wallet from slipping out of the pocket until removed by a deliberate action of the user.

A concealed pocket assembly, and more particularly, a concealed pocket assembly which can be incorporated into swim wear, beach wear, active wear, exercise wear and related articles. The concealed pocket assembly is generally provided for incorporation into clothing.
