Abstract:
A portable sun screen and cooling apparatus for shading a user from direct sunlight while circulating cooled air. The portable sun screen and cooling apparatus provides a domed canopy with an air conditioning element that circulates cooled air throughout the domed canopy. The domed canopy comprises a hollow framework for redirecting the cooled air toward a user's upper body. An indicating element demonstrates a user's position should they become lost or separated from their companions.
Abstract:
An umbrella cover includes: a main umbrella cove provided with a vent; and a shading portion arranged at the vent and adapted to shade sunshine from the vent. When wind blows toward the umbrella cover, a part of the wind may blow through the vent and take away hot inside the umbrella, thus achieving the ventilation of the umbrella. In addition, since the main umbrella cover is provided with the vent, the area of the umbrella cover subjected to the wind force is reduced and the wind force subjected by the umbrella cover is reduced further, thus improving the stability of the umbrella, and thereby decreasing the risk of the umbrella blown down by the wind. Furthermore, since the umbrella cover is the umbrella cover of one layer constituted by the main umbrella cover and the shading portions, the hot inside the umbrella is easy to be dissipated.

A platform supports a sun shade that can keep a user cool in the sun. The platform comprises a sun shade mechanically coupled to four rods by a series of rod connections. Each rod is inserted into a separate tube with its movement restricted by rod lock. Two tubes are mechanically coupled to a right adjustable shoulder strap. Two tubes are mechanically coupled to a left adjustable shoulder strap. A user can place the left adjustable shoulder strap and the right adjustable shoulder strap on shoulders of the user to provide increased stability to the sun shade.

An outdoor shading device includes a supporting frame, a shading awning supported by the supporting frame to define a shading area underneath the shading awning, and a solar power system. The solar power system includes a solar collecting unit having a solar collecting surface overlapped on the shading awning for solar energy collection, and a power storage supported at the supporting frame to electrically connect to the solar collecting unit, wherein when the shading awning is orientated for providing shade from the sun, the solar collecting surface of the solar collecting unit is aligned with the direction of the sun to maximize the solar energy collection, such that after the solar energy is collected, the solar collecting unit converts the solar energy into electrical energy and stored in the power storage.

An outdoor umbrella for electrical appliances includes a supporting frame, an awning frame, and an electro-control panel. The awning frame includes a functional umbrella hub suspendedly supported by the supporting frame for supporting the electrical appliances in position, a plurality of awning frames radially and outwardly extended from the functional umbrella hub, and an awning supported by the awning arms to define a shading area under the awning. The electro-control panel includes a control circuitry and a control device. The control circuitry has an input terminal adapted for electrically connecting to a power source, and a plurality of control terminals for selectively connecting to the electrical appliances respectively. The control device is electrically connected to the control circuitry for selectively controlling each of the electrical appliances in an on-and-off manner.

A functional umbrella hub for an outdoor umbrella having a plurality of awning arms and a connector head electrically extended from a power source, wherein the functional umbrella hub includes a functional appliance, a hub body, and a functional hub. The hub body has a plurality of hinges for respectively coupling with the awning arms in a radially extending manner and an interior cavity for the connector head disposing therein. The functional hub has a speaker compartment and an audio outlet, wherein the functional appliance is built-in with the functional hub that the speaker is securely supported within the speaker compartment at the audio outlet such that the functional umbrella hub is adapted for not only operatively incorporating with the outdoor umbrella via the hub body but also providing the additional function for the outdoor umbrella via the functional hub to enhance a practical use thereof.

In one embodiment, a modular, electrically powered lawn or patio umbrella in which lighting systems, such as those utilizing cold cathode tubes, LED's, or florescent lights; cooling systems, such as those utilizing electric fans or misting systems; and motorized retraction systems; can be selectively interchanged is provided.

Based on a hollow column (1), terminating at the bottom in a baseplate (2) and at the top in a core (3) from which vanes (4-4′), also hollow and connected with the column (1), emerge; a motor-fan (6-7) is installed in the baseplate (2), activated by means of a circuit breaker (8), which absorbs air from the outside through the lower and open end of the baseplate (2), and delivers it to the vanes (4-4′) from which it passes to the outside through opposite nozzles (5), so that this flow of air causes a rotary movement of the vanes (4-4′), by reaction, and said vanes, in their rotation, form a curtain against solar radiation, while simultaneously moving air below them. The wall of the column (1) can be translucent to allow the light generated by an internal spotlight to pass through it and within said column an electrical resistance or other means of heating that allows the ventilator to provide hot air, can be installed; the external surface of said column forming furthermore an advertising panel.
