Abstract: A reactor includes a drum motor, and a roller assembly including a roller. The reactor system further includes a consumable that is insertable into the reactor. The motor balancing system includes a drum motor belt coupled to the drum motor an arm coupled to the drum motor belt, and a spring coupled to the arm. The spring applies a tension force to the drum motor belt.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for stably supplying a highly pure n-butylamine gas having a constant composition. The present disclosure is a composition supply method including: a filling step of filling a container with a composition containing n-butylamine in an amount of 99.5% by volume or more and isobutylamine in an amount of 0.001% by volume or more and 0.5% by volume or less; a warming step of warming the container filled with the composition to 50° C. or higher; and a gas supply step of supplying a gas containing n-butylamine and isobutylamine from the warmed container to a predetermined device.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a device and method for changing the conditions of a solution flowing in a serial path. In particular, disclosed herein is a device that includes a chemical reactor, a first system, and a second system that are each serial to one another. Each of the first system and the second system include a mixing chamber, a solvent reservoir, a solvent pump, and one or more detectors. Also disclosed herein is a method for changing the condition of a solution that includes flowing a liquid sample in a path, serially mixing the sample with at least two discrete solvents while it flows through the path, and detecting the condition of the sample after it is mixed with each solvent.

Abstract: A feed device for a distillation tower has an annular, open-bottomed channel located around the periphery of the feed zone of the tower with an inner wall spaced from the inner curved wall of the tower and a top covering the channel to confer a generally inverted-U shape to the cross section of the channel. One or more tangential feed inlets are provided to admit a heated, mixed phase feed to the tower and direct the feed into and along the channel. One or more vapor scoops are provided for each feed inlet with the scoop(s) located on the inner wall of the channel at a sufficient distance along the channel from the inlet to permit cyclonic separation of vapor and liquid before the vapor in the feed from the inlet enters the scoop(s) and passes through a vapor exit port into the central core of the tower.
