Abstract:
A dispenser cap (10) for a liquid container having an opening, the cap (10) comprising a means for attachment (30) to the container, a housing (12) inserted into the opening and comprising a liquid inlet (14), a channel and a liquid outlet (16), the channel comprising a moveable seal (18) defining an outlet-side liquid volume (24) and an inlet-side liquid volume (26), the moveable seal (18) is moveable from a first position to a second position towards the liquid outlet (16) by increasing the inlet-side liquid pressure, thereby causing a dispensable volume of liquid flow out of the outlet (16), the moveable seal (18) also comprising a liquid outlet seal means (22) to seal the liquid outlet when the moveable seal (18) is in its second position, thereby preventing further flow of liquid out of the outlet (16), the cap (10) also comprising a dispensable liquid volume adjustment means (32,34) to adjust the fixed volume of dispensable liquid.
Abstract:
Improved therapeutic sclerosing microfoams and methods and devices for making them are provided that have advantage in producing a consistent profile injectable foam with minimal input by the physician yet using high volume percentages of blood dispersible gases, thus avoiding use of potentially hazardous amounts of nitrogen.
Abstract:
An orientation independent delivery device. The delivery device includes a gas chamber, a delivery chamber, a gas cell, and a delivery aperture. The gas chamber includes a gas-side rigid portion and a gas-side flexible barrier. The gas-side flexible barrier is sealed to the gas-side rigid portion. The delivery chamber includes a delivery-side rigid portion and a delivery-side flexible barrier. The delivery-side flexible barrier is sealed to the delivery-side rigid portion and is oriented adjacent to the gas-side flexible barrier. The gas cell is coupled to the gas-side rigid portion of the gas chamber. The gas cell increases a gas pressure within the gas chamber to expand the gas-side flexible barrier. Expansion of the gas-side flexible barrier applies a compressive force to the delivery-side flexible barrier allowing a delivery material to escape from the delivery chamber.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (1) for delivering two predetermined doses of a product (3), comprising: —a container (2) for containing said product, said container having a distal end (2d) through which the product is delivered under the distal pressure of a piston, —a pusher (7) movable with respect to said container for causing said piston (4) to move in the distal direction from an initial position, in which none of said product has been expelled to a first position, in which a first dose of said product has been expelled, and to a second position, in which a second dose of said product has been expelled, —a holder body (15) receiving said container and said pusher (7), —biasing means (22) for urging said pusher (7) in the distal direction, from the initial to the first position, and to the second position, —first and second retaining means (9, 11, 19) for maintaining said pusher (7) in said initial position, and in said first position, —first and second actuation means (18) to deactivate said first and second retaining means (9, 11, 19), characterized in that said first and/or second actuation means (18) are at least rotationally displaceable, said rotation causing at least part of the deactivation of said first and/or second retaining means (9, 11, 19).
Abstract:
A spray head for a fluid dispenser device, including a hollow body having a substantially cylindrical sleeve and extending along a longitudinal axis (A), a substantially radial end wall provided with a spray orifice; and a spray profile upstream from the spray orifice. The spray profile includes at least one channel that is non-radial and/or non-axial relative to the longitudinal axis (A). The head, the spray orifice, and the spray profile are made as a single piece, the spray profile including a central pin, the internal end of the central pin, arranged inside the hollow body, being of shape that is conical or frustoconical, so as to guide the fluid towards the at least one non-radial and/or non-axial channel, the internal end forming an outlet valve.
Abstract:
A delivery device for delivery of a medicament to a user including a container defining a reservoir storing the medicament, a body in which the container is received, a spray nozzle arranged on one of the body and the container for receiving medicament expelled from the container, and a pusher actuatable for pushing the medicament from the container reservoir through the nozzle, said pusher being movable from a rest position to a fully activated position relative to said body in response to an actuating force. The assembly is particularly applicable to nasal syringes where it is desirable to deliver the medicament in the form of a spray.

Abstract:
A system for dispensing sprayable material such as paint and other liquefied products. The system includes a dispenser designed to accept a flexible, crushable, container filled with sprayable material and having a valve and spray tip at one end. The container is placed into a slot in the dispenser with the valve on the container secured in the housing of the dispenser. In operation, a plunger that runs lengthwise within the housing of the dispenser exerts force on the bottom of the container crushing it as it is emptied and forcing the sprayable material out through the valve and spray tip.
Abstract:
A dispenser is provided for the delivery of controlled, metered amounts of any of numerous different substances to humans or animals, such as medicaments, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and food products, or to deliver materials that may react upon exposure to air, such as glue. Means are provided in the dispenser to effect controlled delivery of a pre-determined amount of the substance contained in the dispenser. A one-way valve is provided to hermetically seal the portion of the dispenser containing the substance to be dispensed.
