    Abstract: A power closing assembly operates a closure panel hingedly secured to a motor vehicle. The power closing assembly includes an actuator mounted to the motor vehicle, a movable striker also mounted to the motor vehicle to receive the closure panel's latch, and a rotary power cable connecting therebetween. The actuator has a closure cable on a spooling drum extending to the closure panel for closing from an open position when the actuator operates. The movable striker moves between a nominal inboard position and an outboard position. A rotary power cable connects between a provided output on the actuator and an input on the striker so that the striker's movement is powered and synchronized by the actuator. With the closure panel open, the actuator begins a closing cycle by driving in a direction to spool in the closure cable extending to the closure panel. The actuator's direction, using the rotary power cable, simultaneously causes the striker to move outboard. When the closure panel is pulled completely closed, the striker has also moved to its outboard position whereupon the closure panel's latch readily receives and engages the striker. Upon engagement, the actuator reverses its drive direction. This reverse direction causes both the actuator to reset with respect to its closure cable spooling drum and the rotary power cable to turn in the other direction causing the striker to return to its inboard position and fully close the closure panel against its seal load.

    Abstract: A power-off door closing device of fire proof rolling door in which the rolling door slides down to close by its own weight under abnormal power-off condition by brake-releasing action or by brake-applied action of a braking pin actuated by a energized solenoid, through successive movement of the first end of a sliding lever of a solenoid with a bent arm, a clamp member and a brake actuating rod. This device can be easily changed into non-failsafe door closing fire proof type with original configurations wherein the solenoid is reverse located so that the brake-released action caused by an energized solenoid or the brake-applied action under abnormal power-off condition applies. A reserved power supply temporarily energizes the solenoid to maintain a temporary brake-releasing under abnormal power-off condition, to enable the rolling door sliding down to close by its own weight.

    Abstract: An operating system which utilizes a multi-functional wall station for a motorized barrier includes an operator for controlling movement of a barrier between various positions. The operator may receive signals from a wireless or wired wall station transmitter, a wireless keyless entry device and/or a portable remote transmitter device. The multi-function wall station provides for selective concealment of certain switches or buttons which are not commonly used in the day-to-day operation of a wall station. For example, the up/down switch may be actuated by a hinged cover which conceals other selected operational buttons and wherein those operational buttons are only accessed upon opening of the hinged cover. The wall station also provides a periodic lighting element so as to easily direct the user to push the hinge cover to initiate up/down movement of the barrier. The multi-function wall station also provides for an operational selection wherein the door may be closed in a normal manner; by an auto-close feature, wherein the door closes after a predetermined period of time; or a RF block mode, wherein the station prevents transmission of any remote radio frequency signals to the operating system. The auto-close feature may only be enabled upon actuation of a keyless entry device so as to allow the user to re-enter the garage in the unfortunate circumstance of being locked out of the garage.

    Abstract: An operating system which utilizes a multi-functional wall station for a motorized barrier includes an operator for controlling movement of a barrier between various positions.     Abstract: A power closing assembly operates a closure panel hingedly secured to a motor vehicle. The power closing assembly includes an actuator mounted to the motor vehicle, a movable striker also mounted to the motor vehicle to receive the closure panel's latch, and a rotary power cable connecting therebetween. The actuator has a closure cable on a spooling drum extending to the closure panel for closing from an open position when the actuator operates. When the closure panel is pulled completely closed, the striker has also moved to its outboard position whereupon the closure panel's latch readily receives and engages the striker. Upon engagement, the actuator reverses its drive direction. This reverse direction causes both the actuator to reset with respect to its closure cable spooling drum and the rotary power cable to turn in the other direction causing the striker to return to its inboard position and fully close the closure panel against its seal load.

    Abstract: A parking area control and management system employs a card reader, which reads identification information from a card commonly carried by a person, such as a driver's license or credit card or other identity card carried by a user that is issued by an entity other than a parking area management entity. A record is made of the identification information upon entrance of a vehicle into the parking area. The person may subsequently leave the parking area on foot and regain entry to the parking area by presenting the same card. Later, the same card is used to exit the parking area, via the vehicle, and to validate that the same person is leaving with the vehicle. The parking area control and management system also includes sensors, such as loop detectors and electric eyes, to determine if a second vehicle or a pedestrian follows behind a vehicle entering into, or exiting from, the parking area. The parking area control and management system can be used to manage existing loop detectors and electric eyes, that normally control door and gate safety access systems, and to integrate those devices into an alarm system, such that an alert is issued whenever an abnormal or unauthorized event occurs during operations.
