Abstract:
A coupler for coupling a first fluid delivery device to a second fluid delivery device includes a base adapted for mounting at one of the opening of first fluid delivery device, a locking member coupled to the base about the base's longitudinal axis, with the locking member being movable along the base along the base's longitudinal axis between a locking position and an unlocking position. A connector member having a body adapted for releasably mounting at one of the openings of the second fluid delivery device is releasably engageable with the locking member and with the base wherein the fluid flow passageways of the base and the connector member are in fluidic communication. Further, the locking member is biased toward the connector member to thereby engage the connector member with a first force when fluid is flowing through the coupler and with a second lower force when fluid is not flowing through the coupler wherein when no fluid is flowing through the coupler, the connector member may be disconnected from the locking member by simply overcoming the second lower biasing force.
Abstract:
A shroud for a pipe connection includes first and second clamshell halves, a flexible hinge between the first and second halves, a snap connection connecting the first and second halves and a drip tube extending from one of the first and second halves. A pipe connection including the shroud is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A quick connector capable of surely confirming that a pipe body is engaged by a retainer when an elastically-deformable claw of the retainer and an elastically-deformable claw of a checker are adjacently arranged in an axial direction. Checker-axis direction elastically-deformable claws have distal-end sides formed flexibly deformable in the axial direction, maintain a state of being engaged by a second engagement portion of a retainer body by having deflective deformation regulated by a retainer diameter-expanding elastically-deformable claw in a state in which the retainer diameter-expanding elastically-deformable claw is expanded diametrically, and regulate sliding from a first position with respect to the retainer body toward a set radial direction by being engaged by the second engagement portion of the retainer body.
Abstract:
An apparatus for assembling or disassembling a pipe in a pipe holder, includes: a washer having a body having an annular portion and an extended portion having central bore passing therethrough, the body made of a memory material; a compression fitting for insertion into the pipe holder, the extended portion fitting in the compression fitting; and, a lock for insertion into the pipe holder. The lock is for moving the compression fitting to deform the annular portion against the holder if inserted to form a seal between the pipe, the compression fitting and the holder. The lock also is for allowing the annular portion to reform and move against the holder if the lock is removed such that the compression fitting may be removed if the lock is removed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hose coupling and a protective hose incorporating such a hose coupling for replacing standard hose couplings and standard hoses, amongst many other applications, on vehicle fue! tanks so as to prevent the theft of fuel from the tanks. The hose coupling comprises of: a fastener body (12); a sleeve (14) surrounding the fastener body (12); retaining means (16) for retaining the sleeve (14) about the fastener body (12) so as to limit the axial movement of the sleeve (14) relative to the fastener (12) while allowing the sleeve (14) to freely rotate about the fastener body (12), even when is use; and a means (18) for capturing a hose stem to which a protective hose is connectable.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a hydraulic connection assembly for connecting one or more hydraulic lines, of the type comprising a one-block body enclosing one or more hydraulic lines, and at least one draining line connected to said hydraulic lines. In order to allow to discharge the fluid pressure and relieve pressure from the tool lines before disconnecting or to facilitate the maneuvre of connecting the pressurized lines by the operator, the assembly according to the present invention further comprises at least one coupling provided with an axially movable element adapted to actuate line decompression means. The connection assembly according to the present invention allows to reduce the production costs and time, as well as considerably reducing the forces that the operator must apply when engaging pressurized lines.
Abstract:
[Object] A pipe joint is to be provided that prevents a release bush from being accidentally pressed, and that inhibits the tube from being removed from the pipe joint unless a worker uses a predetermined tool with the intention of removing the tube from the pipe joint.[Solution] In a pipe joint including a chuck 21 with a latch claw to be engaged with an outer circumferential surface of a tube T inserted in the pipe joint thereby retaining the tube, a release bush 5 to be inwardly pressed along the tube inserted through the chuck so as to disengage the chuck from the tube is configured so as to inhibit direct manipulation thereof from outside of a main body 1 of the pipe joint, and a pressing tool 7 that can inwardly press the release bush into a position where the release bush disengages the chuck from the tube is provided as a separate member.
Abstract:
A pipe joint unit includes a first pipe member with a male joint, a second pipe member with a female joint, and a pipe joint member coupling the first pipe member and the second pipe member. The male joint is received in the female joint such that an outer peripheral surface of the male joint is opposed to an inner peripheral surface of the female joint. The pipe joint member includes an engagement part that is elastically displaceable in the radial direction, and engages with the first and second pipe members. The male joint and the female joint have rotation restricting parts on the outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface, respectively, for restricting relative rotation of the first and second pipe members.
Abstract:
Fuel port structure (10) of a fuel pump (20) includes a fuel port (12) having a periphery (14), an internal portion defining a fuel passage (16), and a free end (18). An electrically conductive grounding structure (22) has a first portion (24) disposed at least partially within the fuel passage and a second portion (26) extending from the free end. A fuel delivery tube (28) is coupled to the periphery of the fuel port at the free end thereof. The fuel delivery tube has an electrically conductive portion (30) in contact with the second portion of the grounding structure to provide a discharge path for static electricity created when fuel flows through the fuel passage.
