Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, server computers, storage media, and instructions for prioritized device action triggered by device scan data are described. In one embodiment, a mobile device performs a method that involves executing a messaging application with an image capture interface and a scanning input. An associated scanning mode comprises capture of scan data from a plurality of input/output modules of the first client device, analyzes the scan data to identify one or more scan data patterns by matching at least a portion of the scan data against a set of data patterns, and selects a priority system action based on the results of the matching of the portion of the scan data against the set of data patterns. In some embodiments, the priority system action is selected based on a priority ranking for identified scan data types.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to measure brand exposure in media streams are disclosed. Example apparatus disclosed herein are to determine a first histogram based on at least one of luminance components or chrominance components of a first frame of video, and determine a second histogram based on at least one of luminance components or chrominance components of a second frame of the video. Disclosed example apparatus are also to detect a transition in the video based on the first histogram and the second histogram, and responsive to the detection of the transition in the video. Disclosed example apparatus are further to process a region of interest within at least one of the first frame or the second frame to detect a logo in the region of interest.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for analyzing images or video using computer vision. Data comprising real time or near real time information or historical information is retrieved that is associated with a sporting event at a physical location. A time segment is identified of a display device at the physical location for acquisition. The display device is configurable to present visual sponsorship data during the time segment for an assigned sponsor. It is determined that one or more rules are satisfied by the data. An indication is transmitted that the first rule is satisfied to a computing device of a sponsor. A bid or valuation is generated based at least on the first rule being satisfied. A request to acquire the time segment is received from the computing device of the sponsor, and the display device at the physical location is caused to present visual sponsorship data for the sponsor during the time segment.

Abstract: Methods, storage systems and computer program products implement embodiments of the present invention for protecting a computing device. These embodiments include detecting that an email is received by the computing device, the email including a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) for a web page in a first domain. The web page is retrieved from the domain, and a set of keywords are extracted from the retrieved web page. A query included the set of keywords is submitted to a search engine, and a response to the query is received from the search engine, the response indicating a set of second domain. Finally, in response to detecting that the first domain does not match any of the second domains, an alert for a phishing attack is generated.

Abstract: A method and a computer system for preflighting a graphics artwork file. The method includes storing rules corresponding to an object, a set of recognition inputs for identifying the object, and a graphics artwork file to be preflighted. Abstract: System and method for detecting the authenticity of products by detecting a unique chaotic signature. Photos of the products are taken at the plant and stored in a database/server. The server processes the images to detect for each authentic product a unique authentic signature which is the result of a manufacturing process, a process of nature etc. To detect whether the product is genuine or not at the store, the user/buyer may take a picture of the product and send it to the server (e.g. using an app installed on a portable device or the like). Upon receipt of the photo, the server may process the receive image in search for a pre-detected and/or pre-stored chaotic signature associated with an authentic product. The server may return a response to the user indicating the result of the search. A feedback mechanism may be included to guide the user to take a picture at a specific location of the product where the chaotic signature may exist.

Abstract: Techniques for providing improved optical character recognition (OCR) for receipts are discussed herein. Some embodiments may provide for a system including one or more servers configured to perform receipt image cleanup, logo identification, and text extraction. The image cleanup may include transforming image data of the receipt by using image parameters values that optimize the logo identification, and performing logo identification using a comparison of the image data with training logos associated with merchants. When a merchant is identified, a second image clean up may be performed by using image parameter values optimized for text extraction. A receipt structure may be used to categorize the extracted text. Improved OCR accuracy is also achieved by applying on format rules of the receipt structure to the extracted text.
