Abstract: An unducted thrust producing system is provided that can include a rotating element having an axis of rotation about a central longitudinal axis and comprising a plurality of blades attached to a spinner; a stationary element positioned aft of the rotating element; and an inlet positioned between the rotating element and the stationary element such that the inlet passes radially inward of the stationary element. The rotating element defines an annular valley positioned between a first annular crown and a second annular crown, and the inlet defines an open area positioned aft of the second annular crown.

Abstract: A double-action pusher centrifuge separates a mixture into solid cake and liquid. The pusher centrifuge includes a screen drum rotatable about an axis and in which a pusher base device is arranged to be movable along the axis of rotation. The solid cake is displaced by an outer ring region of the pusher base device. A plurality of axial passage openings are disposed in the outer ring region and connect front and rear regions of the screen drum. A feed unit is arranged at an inflow disk such that the mixture can be introduced via the feed unit and the inflow disk into empty space on the screen drum on displacement of the solid cake. An inflow gap applies the mixture into the empty space, and is between an inflow edge of the inflow disk and a pusher base plate of the pusher base device with an inflow region.

Abstract: A filter media is disclosed for removing particles from an air stream. The filter media, in an embodiment, includes a porous membrane layer and a pre-filter layer including a downstream surface and an upstream surface. The pre-filter layer is arranged with the downstream surface adjacent an upstream side of the porous membrane layer. The pre-filter layer includes a wet laid composite media having a mixture of glass fibers and synthetic fibers. A method for using the filter media in a gas turbine is also disclosed.

Abstract: An air supply and conditioning system for an inlet system of a gas turbine includes an air processing unit having an inlet configured to receive compressed air from a compressor of the gas turbine. The air processing unit includes a heat exchanger that is downstream from the inlet. A vortex cooler is disposed downstream from the inlet of the air processing unit. The vortex cooler is in fluid communication with the heat exchanger and with an outlet of the air processing unit. The system further includes a self-cleaning filter that is disposed within a duct of the inlet system. The self-cleaning filter is in fluid communication with at least one of the outlet of the air processing unit or an outlet of the vortex cooler.
