Abstract: Provided are a resin composition that is capable of imparting excellent mechanical strength to a molded article and has excellent dimensional stability during molding, a molded article thereof, and a method for producing the resin composition. For a resin composition containing a polyolefin-based resin and a nucleating agent, a ratio t2/t1 between an isothermal crystallization time t2 at 135° C. of the resin composition and an isothermal crystallization time t1 at 135° C. of a nucleating agent-free resin composition having the same formulation as the resin composition except that the nucleating agent is not contained is 0.45 or more.

The component (C) is incorporated in an amount of 10 parts by mass to 50 parts by mass with respect to a total of 100 parts by mass of the components (A) and (B).

The coating material containing the silanol group is a silicate having a siloxane bond or a silica fine particle aggregate having a siloxane bond as a component.
