Abstract: A quick connector is adapted to display a code that verifies that a latch member is engaged to retain an installed pipe to the quick connector. The quick connector comprises a connector body having a receiving portion surrounding an internal passage, the internal passage arranged to receive the pipe therein. A latch member retained on the receiving portion is arranged to be movable between a pipe insertion position and a latched position. In the pipe insertion position, the latch member allows the pipe to be inserted into the internal passage. A code readable by a scanning device becomes readable when the latch member is moved to the latched position verifying that the pipe is installed and latched in the connector body.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for determining the position of a ring magnet fixed to a rotating device includes locating the ring magnet proximate to a sensor that is sensitive to magnetic polarities. The ring magnet includes a plurality of magnetic pole pairs of opposite magnetic polarities, having at least one pole pair larger than at least three other pole pairs. The sensor produces an output signal for each pole pair that represents a period when a pole pair is detected by the sensor as the ring magnet is rotated by the device. The output signals from the sensor are coupled to a digital circuit that differentiates the three smaller pole pairs from the at least one larger pole pair to determine the position of the ring magnet.

Abstract: An apparatus and coolant pump for use in a thermal management system includes a pump housing having an inlet for receiving coolant from the thermal management system and at least first and second outlets extending from the pump housing for directing coolant to at least a first and a second coolant loop. An impeller coupled to an electrical pump motor drives the coolant from the inlet to the first or the second outlet. A valve mounted between the impeller and the first and second outlets selectively directs the flow of coolant through the first or the second outlet. A temperature sensor installed on the pump housing inlet measures the temperature of the coolant entering the coolant pump.

Abstract: An apparatus and process for distributing coolant fluid through first and second coolant loops comprising a pump having a first outlet port connected to the first coolant loop and a second outlet port connected to the second coolant loop and valve located in the pump housing switchable to direct coolant fluid to either the first or the second outlet port individually or to the first and second outlet ports concurrently. The coolant fluid is circulated through the first and the second coolant loops at a rate of flow less than the unrestricted rate of flow when the valve connects the first and the second outlet ports concurrently to the first and second coolant loops and which the rates of flow through the first and the second coolant loops jointly equal the unrestricted rate of flow.

Abstract: An assembly, connector and method is disclosed for making a fluid connection between a vessel wall and a fluid tube. The assembly includes a male connector having a cylindrical body and an internal fluid passage through the male connector between a head portion located at an upper end of the male connector and a base portion on a lower end of the male connector. An aperture is formed on the vessel wall and at least first and second recesses are formed along an edge of the aperture. The base portion has at least first and second locking members located in a spaced relation to the other on opposite sides of the base portion and a sealing flange extends circumferentially about the base portion. The base portion is arranged to be installed in the aperture with each locking member accepted within a respective recess. Rotation of the male connector causes the locking members to rotate within the aperture and seal the sealing flange against the wall. A female connector connected to the fluid tube is installed on the male connector head portion.

The TPV composition also includes a continuous thermoplastic phase having residues of a second polymer component selected from the group consisting of polypropylene resin, polypropylene copolymers and combinations thereof. Characteristically, the dispersed crosslinked phase is dispersed in the continuous thermoplastic phase.
