Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for a secure interconnect between data modules, including a security apparatus within a secured data connection device installed with a security chip. The connection device may be authenticated prior to enabling a stacking feature. Authentication of a connection device may be used to ensure the quality and performance of the connection device and the data modules.
Abstract:
Provided herein are compounds of the formula (I): as well as pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein the substituents are as those disclosed in the specification. These compounds, and the pharmaceutical compositions containing them, are useful for the treatment of obesity, hyperphagia, anxiety, depression and related disorders and diseases.

Provided herein are compounds of the formula (I): as well as pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein the substituents are as those disclosed in the specification. These compounds, and the pharmaceutical compositions containing them, are useful for the treatment of metabolic diseases and disorders such as, for example, type II diabetes mellitus.
Abstract:
A method includes deploying a fenestration segment stent-graft into a main vessel such that a fenestration section of the fenestration segment stent-graft covers a first branch vessel emanating from the main vessel. The fenestration segment stent-graft includes a proximal section, a distal section, and the fenestration section attached to and between the proximal section and the distal section. The fenestration section has a greater resistance to tearing than the proximal section and the distal section facilitating formation of a collateral opening aligned with the branch vessel in the fenestration section.
Abstract:
Schemes for rewinding a HITS stream in video recorder and playback systems are presented herein. Reference pictures are stored for a group of pictures, allowing subsequent pictures to be decoded from the reference pictures. The foregoing significantly reduces the number of picture decodes required to display a HITS stream in reverse order.
Abstract:
One preferred embodiment provides mobile device based registrations and transactions by providing an aggregator, in the form of a server connected to the internet for collecting and selectively distributing user data. The aggregator may obtain the user data through the mobile network operator, a third party data source (e.g., a credit reporting bureau), or from one-time user input with the aggregator. The user can selectively transmit their user data quickly (e.g., with the selection of a single link) via their mobile device between the aggregator and a third party content provider (e.g., a gambling site, adult content site, banking site, etc.).

Abstract:
A system for detecting interactions between charged targets and analytes. The system includes a fluid channel, and a waveguide associated with the fluid channel. A detection region is associated with the waveguide, and a biasing element is operatively coupled to the detection region. The biasing element is adapted to electrically bias a portion of the waveguide at the detection region, and the charged targets are electrostatically bound to the detection region when the portion of the waveguide is electrically biased. An optical detector is adapted to detect optical changes from the detection region.
Abstract:
Various radio frequency identification (RFID) tags are described that dynamically vary their resonant frequency to reduce or eliminate the potential effects of electromagnetic “tag-to-tag” coupling. An RFID tag, for example, includes a main antenna tuned to a first resonant frequency, and switching circuitry that dynamically changes the resonant frequency of the main antenna. The switching circuitry may selectively couple electrical elements, such as capacitive elements, inductive elements, or combinations thereof, to vary the resonant frequency of the RFID tag. The RFID tag may include a sensing circuit that determines when to selectively couple the electrical element to the main antenna to adjust the resonant frequency of the main antenna.
Abstract:
A dynamic graphical information presentation is generated and overlaid onto a time-lapse video image sequence to form a combined graphical information and time-lapse photography presentation. The time-lapse photography video image sequence and dynamic graphical information presentation are preferably time synchronized in the combined presentation. For a weather presentation of past weather conditions, the time-lapse photography video image sequence may be a video image sequence of sky conditions, with the dynamic graphical information presentation generated based on weather conditions recorded for the same period of time from a weather information source. For a presentation of forecast weather conditions, the time-lapse photography video image sequence may be selected from a database of stored pre-recorded sequences, with the dynamic graphical information presentation derived from forecast weather condition information.
