Abstract:
A bearing apparatus includes a hollow shaft provided around an outer peripheral surface with a bearing fitting region, and a rolling bearing having an inner ring fitted around the bearing fitting region of the hollow shaft. A shaft end of the hollow shaft is bent outwardly in a diametrical direction, thereby being caulked on an outer end surface of the inner ring. The bearing fitting region has a hardened layer in a region from a first position corresponding to an inner end surface of the inner ring of the rolling bearing to a second position before a position corresponding to an outer end surface of the inner ring, and has a non-hardened layer in another region from the outer end surface corresponding position of the inner ring to the shaft end. The second position representative of a caulked side end portion of the hardened layer is defined based on a predetermined relational expression.
Abstract:
A vehicle including a meter panel which is arranged at a substantially center portion in the vehicle widthwise direction. A switch device is positioned on the meter panel and the switch device turns on and off a light.
Abstract:
The rolling bearing apparatus of the present invention comprises a rolling element, a non-rolling element disposed concentrically with the rolling element, and a rotation detector for outputting an input exciting voltage by converting it to an induced voltage according to the relative rotation state of the rolling element and the non-rolling element. The rotation detector comprises a rotor provided in the rolling element, a stator provided in the non-rolling element, and an exciting winding and output windings being wound to the stator. The output windings induce a voltage according to the gap permeance between the rotor and the stator in response to the exciting voltage inputted to the exciting winding.
Abstract:
A Dedicated Short-Range Communications (DSRC) on-board unit with an adhesive material includes: an antenna and a radio portion for communicating with roadside radio equipment; a data processing portion for processing data received from the radio portion; a housing in which at least the antenna, the radio portion, and the data processing portion are housed; and a double-sided adhesive tape having a first surface affixed to the housing and a second surface for affixing to a vehicle window, an aperture being formed in the double-sided adhesive tape and a protruding portion inserted into the double-sided adhesive tape being disposed on the housing.
Abstract:
A paging agent 30 according to the present invention receives a paging request packet from a mobile node, and then determines a paging area, in response to the packet. The paging agent 30 notifies the mobile node of the determined paging area and controls this paging area. When the paging agent 30 receives a data packet directed to the mobile node in a paging control mode, it holds the packet in a buffer 371 and starts forwarding the data packet thus held, as triggered by reception of a paging notification confirmation packet from the mobile node.
Abstract:
An ink jet recording medium comprising a water-impermeable substrate, a first porous layer formed on the substrate, and a second porous layer formed on the first porous layer, wherein the psychometric lightness (L*) at a black solid printed portion with a black dye ink is at most 5.0.
Abstract:
In a construction in which a double row rolling bearing and a constant velocity joint are mounted to a hub wheel, a fixing ring fixedly mounted to a vehicle-outer side opening of the hub wheel is sandwiched between a vehicle-outer side end face of an outer ring shaft of the constant velocity joint and a bolt integrally mounted to the shaft in the axial direction, thereby coupling the outer ring of the constant velocity joint to the hub wheel. In this case, a simple coupling operation only for mounting the bolt to the shaft suffices, and a pre-load that has been applied to the rolling bearing is maintained invariably.
Abstract:
A vehicle having a fuel tank mounted about the central upper part of the vehicle is disclosed. A tank cover covers the fuel tank, and a gearshift lever for an automatic transmission is located on a side of the fuel tank. A recess is formed in the side of the fuel tank, by cutting an opening toward the inside of the vehicle. The gearshift lever is disposed in a space formed between the recess and the tank cover. This arrangement provides a saddle-type vehicle with a larger, more comfortable leg space for the driver and permits the mounting of an automatic transmission with a gearshift lever located as close to the driver as possible.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a clutch device capable of providing a simple structure, greatly reducing power-application cost and component cost, reducing weight and improving convenience. The clutch device is constituted to include a movable cam plate attached to be rotatable synchronously with a second rotary shaft and to be displaceable in an axial direction, a clutch housing which the movable cam plate is press-contacted with or separated from depending on a displacement of the movable cam plate in the axial direction, and a cam mechanism for separating the movable cam plate from the clutch housing, integrating a first rotary shaft, the movable cam plate and the second rotary shaft with one another and coupling the both rotary shafts to be synchronously rotatable when the first rotary shaft rotates, and for press-contacting the movable cam plate with the clutch housing, integrating the second rotary shaft, the movable plat and the clutch housing with one another and turning the second rotary shaft into an irrotational state when the second rotary shaft rotates.
Abstract:
A dedicated short-range communication mobile device for Intelligent transport systems, including: an antenna; a data transmission/reception circuit for transmitting and receiving data to and from a ground device through the antenna; a first power supply circuit for supplying power to the data transmission/reception circuit; a received electric field strength detecting unit for measuring a power level of a radio wave transmitted from the ground device; a communication area detecting unit for recognizing a communication area based on an output of the received electric field strength detecting unit; a power supply starting unit for starting the first power supply circuit based on an output of the communication area detecting unit; and a second power supply circuit for supplying power to the received electric field strength detecting unit, the communication area detecting unit and the power supply starting unit. As a result of the above configuration, the mobile device can reduce dissipation and does not complicate communication control.
