    Abstract: An energy absorbing ball has a spherical resilient shell having a smooth inner surface and a smooth outer surface. A fill material is introduced into the shell via a fill opening in the shell. The fill material includes a liquid and a solid particulate having a density greater than the liquid, and with the fill material substantially entirely filling the shell. A plug in the fill opening seals the fill material within the shell, optionally with a recess over the plug. The smooth inside and outside surfaces of the she are spherical and free of any projections or obstructions.

    Abstract: A field cone collector includes a tube attached to a handle. A pair of arms is pivotally supported at a lower end of the tube. A spring urges the arms into a first position wherein an end of each arm projects out of the tube. A linkage within the tube extends from the pair of arms to an upper end of the tube, optionally to a sliding trigger. Actuation of the linkage moves the arms into a second position wherein the arms are withdrawn towards or into the tube. A field cone may be collected by pushing the lower end of the tube through an opening in the field cone. The arms momentarily move inwardly as they pass through the opening, and then move back to the first or projecting position to hold the field cone onto the tube.

    Abstract: A training device includes a tether having inelastic portions disposed between its ends, where each inelastic portion is separated by an elastic portion, and where each of the ends is configured for engagement with hands of a trainer. The training device may include a belt that wraps around an athlete's body, the belt including a ring on a back portion thereof having an opening for receiving an end of the tether therethrough. When the belt is secured around the athlete's body and the tether is disposed through the ring, the training device may create a coupling between the trainer and athlete when the trainer secures the ends of the tether. The coupling may be substantially released when the trainer releases one end of the tether such that the released end is substantially unrestrained to traverse through the ring thereby fully disengaging the tether from the belt.

    Abstract: An agility pole or a passing arc includes one or more receptacles adjacent to a first end of a tube. A spike assembly has one or more fittings, and a spike attached to a holder adapted to slide into the first end of the tube, in a spike-in position wherein the spike is within the tube, and in a spike-out position wherein the spike is substantially outside of the tube. The fittings engage the receptacles in the spike-in position and in the spike-out position. The agility pole or passing arc may be transported and stored in the spike-in position so that injury or damage from the spike is avoided.
