Abstract: A method for avoiding interference of an interfering Base Station (BS) in an interfered BS of a mobile communication system includes determining an interference value of an interfering BS at a control region during a determination interval. When the interference value is greater than a threshold value, the method further includes operating in a modified Transmit/receive Transition Gap (TTG) mode. When the interference value is less than the threshold value, the method further includes operating in a general TTG mode.
