Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining, at a beamformee, to transmit data signals from transmitting spatial streams at one or more beamformers. Next, a gain resulting from an uplink transmit beamforming protocol may be determined to exceed an overhead of the transmit beamforming protocol. In response to the determination, the uplink transmit beamforming protocol may be conducted. This protocol includes, transmitting trigger frames to the beamformers to obtain channel data regarding channels between each of the transmitting antennae and the active receiving antennae, receiving responses to the trigger frames from each of the beamformers, generating the channel data based on the received responses, feeding back the channel data to each of the beamformers, scheduling the uplink transmit beamforming protocol based on the channel data, and receiving an integrated data signal from the beamformers based on a processing of the data signals via the uplink transmit beamforming protocol.

Abstract: A method including selecting multiple dedicated radios on a transmission channel and programming multiple association identifiers on each dedicated radio is provided. Each of the association identifiers is configured to detect a resource unit assigned to one of multiple stations. The method includes providing multiple packets collected from the dedicated radios to a server and merging the packets from the dedicated radios to identify at least one station. Merging the packets includes identifying a preamble in the packets from the dedicated radios, matching the preamble from different dedicated radios, combining a data portion of the packets from different dedicated radios whose preamble match, selecting a time-stamp from one of the dedicated radios, and associating the time-stamp with the data portion. A system and a non-transitory, computer readable medium storing instructions to perform the above method are also provided.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to automatic location of access points in a network. An embodiment of one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums includes instructions for transmitting a request from a computing device to multiple access points in a network to determine a distance between each pair of access points of the multiple access points; receiving at the computing device the determined distances between each pair of access points; generating a proximity matrix containing the determined distances between each pair of access points; solving the proximity matrix to automatically generate a set of locations for the multiple access points; and orienting the generated set of locations for the multiple access points based on known locations of one or more anchor points in a subset of the access points.

Abstract: Examples described herein mitigate adjacent channel interference for dual radios of a network device. Examples described herein may associate, by a network device, a first client device with a first radio of the network device, associate, by the network device, a second client device with a second radio of the network device, determine that the first and second client devices are within a steering threshold, and based on the determination that the first and second client devices are within the steering threshold, steer, by the network device, the second client device from the second radio to the first radio. Examples described herein may communicate, using the first radio of the network device, with the first and second client devices.

Abstract: Examples described herein provide single and dual radio modes by a network device. Examples may include configuring a network device to communicate with a plurality of client devices using one of a single radio mode and a dual radio mode. Examples may include, based on a relation between a first amount of traffic received by the network device from a first subset of the client devices and a second amount of traffic received by the network device from a second subset of the client devices, reconfiguring the network device to communicate with the plurality of client devices using the other one of the single radio mode and the dual radio mode. Examples may include communicating, by the network device, with the plurality of client devices using the other one of the single radio mode and the dual radio mode.

Abstract: Methods for assigning effective isotopic radiated power to an access point in a wireless network are provided. In one aspect, a method includes determining weights for neighboring access points in a wireless network based on channel frequency and basic service set color assignments. For a particular access point, a first path loss based on the determined weights and a second path loss based on the neighboring access points are calculated. First and second effective isotopic radiated power values are calculated based on the respective first and second path losses. The effective isotopic radiated power of the particular access point is adjusted based on the lower of the first and second calculated effective isotopic radiated power values. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

Abstract: Systems and methods for wake up signaling in 802.11 DFS channels include enabling a primary connectivity radio of a device responsive to a wake up radio of the device receiving a composite radio signal transmitted by an access point in an 802.11 Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) channel, the composite radio signal comprising a wake up radio signal and a time-continuous signal, the time-continuous signal being substantially adjacent in frequency, but not necessarily contiguous in frequency, to the wake up radio signal; and exchanging data with the access point through the primary connectivity radio after the primary connectivity radio is enabled. The wake up radio signal may be an IEEE 802.11ba signal disposed in a center frequency band of a IEEE 802.11ax Physical Layer Convergence Protocol (PLCP) Protocol Data Unit (PPDU). The time-continuous signal may be real or emulated data traffic disposed in at least one IEEE 802.11ax resource unit.
