Abstract:
A process is described by which the pair of isomers represented by (R)-.alpha.-cyano-4-fluoro-3-phenoxybenzyl (1R,cis)-3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropane carboxylate and its enantiomer is converted by base catalyzed epimerization in solution into the insecticidally more useful isomer pair represented by (S)-.alpha.-cyano-4-fluoro-3-phenoxybenzyl (1R,cis)-3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropane carboxylate and its enantiomer, which may then be caused to crystallize out from the solution.
Abstract:
A backpack for moving a variety of different loads from a first location to a second location in a plurality of different ways. The device includes a bag for holding the load. A pair of straps are on the bag for releasably securing the bag to the shoulders and back of a person for transportation by the wearer. The device includes two handles on the bag for hand carrying the bag from location to location. The device further includes two wheels on the bag for wheeling the bag from said first location to said second location and a third handle for use pushing and/or pulling the backpack when the backpack is to be wheeled. The backpack also includes an ice compartment for holding items requiring refrigeration and a drainage plug on the ice compartment for draining water from the ice chest when the need arises located between four luggage bumpers.
Abstract:
A directional coupler having (a) a first coupled microstrip section having a first terminus (T1) and a second terminus (T2), (b) a second coupled microstrip section having a first terminus at T2 and a second terminus (T3), and (c) a first phase-velocity-compensating capacitor connected across the conductors of the microstrip sections at T2 is disclosed. The coupler also may include a second phase-velocity-compensating capacitor connected at T1, and a third phase-velocity compensating capacitor connected across the conductors at T3.
Abstract:
Railcars for personal vehicles provides train passengers with a method for bringing their automobile with them as they travel. This system utilizes pallets and fork-lifts specially designed to hold automobiles. Vehicles can be loaded and unloaded from both sides of a railcar making for fast and easy loading. This system allows travelers and commuters to ride on public transportation with the convenience of having their own vehicle for transportation one they have reached their destination.

Abstract:
A network processor has numerous novel features including a multi-threaded processor array, a multi-pass processing model, and Global Packet Memory (GPM) with hardware managed packet storage. These unique features allow the network processor to perform high-touch packet processing at high data rates. The packet processor can also be coded using a stack-based high-level programming language, such as C or C++. This allows quicker and higher quality porting of software features into the network processor.Processor performance also does not severely drop off when additional processing features are added. For example, packets can be more intelligently processed by assigning processing elements to different bounded duration arrival processing tasks and variable duration main processing tasks. A recirculation path moves packets between the different arrival and main processing tasks. Other novel hardware features include a hardware architecture that efficiently intermixes co-processor operations with multi-threaded processing operations and improved cache affinity.
