Abstract: A first user equipment (UE) is configured to communicate with a base station over a Uu link and communicate with a second UE over a sidelink. The first UE transmits a joint scheduling request and a joint buffer status report (BSR) for an uplink transmission on the Uu link with the base station and a sidelink transmission on the sidelink with the second UE. The joint BSR is associated with a relative latency of the uplink transmission and the sidelink transmission. The first UE receives from the base station, a joint transmission grant scheduling the uplink transmission on a first set of resources and scheduling the sidelink transmission on a second set of resources. The first UE transmits a first transmission on the first set of resources for the uplink transmission and a second transmission on the second set of resources for the sidelink transmission.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may group, into a common slot, a first plurality of consecutive uplink slots included in a first component carrier and a second plurality of consecutive uplink slots included in a second component carrier. The UE may determine whether an uplink transmission is scheduled in at least one of the first plurality of consecutive uplink slots or the second plurality of consecutive uplink slots. The UE may transmit on the first component carrier or on the second component carrier in the common slot or determine whether to switch a transmit chain based at least in part on whether an uplink transmission is scheduled in at least one of the first plurality of consecutive uplink slots or the second plurality of consecutive uplink slots. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may receive a configuration for a first random access message of a two-step random access channel procedure. The wireless device may select a subcarrier spacing and a number of demodulation reference signal occurrences for transmitting the first random access message based at least in part on the configuration and a speed of the wireless device. The wireless device may transmit the first random access message of the two-step random access channel procedure using the subcarrier spacing and the number of demodulation reference signal occurrences.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may receive, from a user equipment (UE), a first random access message of a two-step random access procedure. In some examples, the first random access message may be transmitted by the UE based on one or more cell-specific transmission parameters or cell-specific transmission schemes. The base station may transmit, to the UE, a second random access response message of the two-step random access procedure in response to the first random access message. The second random access response message being transmitted based on one or more cell-specific transmission parameters or cell-specific transmission schemes. Accordingly, the base station and the UE may establish a connection with the UE based on the first random access message and the second random access response message, or the base station can indicate to the UE to return to an inactive mode or idle state.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One or more multiple access-capable user equipments (UEs) may be grouped together for transmitting uplink multiple access communications to a base station, where the UEs may be assigned to the group based on similar capabilities or service requirements. The UE may receive configuration information based at least in part on the group to which the UE has been assigned. When assigned to a group, the UEs may also receive a group-specific scrambling code for the uplink multiple access communications, a group-specific power control for the uplink multiple access communications, time and frequency resources to be used for the uplink multiple access communications specific to the group, or a combination thereof. Additionally, the specific time and frequency resources may be defined by multiple access resource units.

Abstract: Various aspects and features related to wireless communication for unmanned vehicles or inspection routes are described. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, a system, and an apparatus are provided. A method of wireless communication includes identifying a plurality of checkpoints for an inspection route corresponding to a mobile communication device. The method includes identifying a task status for a current checkpoint of the plurality of checkpoints, the task status indicating a status of one or more tasks corresponding to the current checkpoint. The method includes sending a report to a communication device indicating the task status for the current checkpoint.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive information identifying an offset between a start of a frame on a first component carrier and a start of a frame on a second component carrier, wherein the first component carrier is one of a primary cell (PCell) or a secondary cell (SCell), and wherein the second component carrier is the other of the PCell or the SCell; determine that a slot on the first component carrier is aligned with a slot on the second component carrier; identify the slot on the second component carrier in accordance with the offset; and communicate on the first component carrier or the second component carrier based at least in part on the start of the slot on the second component carrier. Numerous other aspects are provided.
