Abstract:
A monochromator for radiant X-rays is composed of a first crystal which has a first surface of incidence having a concave letter V-shaped groove and cooling means for flowing a cooling material behind the first surface of incidence along the letter V-shaped groove, and a second crystal which has a second surface of incidence having a letter V-shaped convex. A parallel pencil of X-rays which impinges on the first surface of incidence elongates to a half-ellipse on the first surface of incidence and reflects in parallel therefrom to the second surface of incidence. Then, a pencil of emissive X-rays having the same size as the initial parallel pencil of X-rays exits the second surface of incidence to become useful light. The monochromator for radiant X-rays which has a high cooling efficiency, is easy to adjust, provides a pencil of emissive X-rays stably and highly accurately. The monochromator is easy to use and economical, and allows easy maintenance.

This invention is relates to a fire extinguishing system which obstructs a fire in a chemical bath containing a flammable chemical arranged within a closed space of high airtightness. The fire extinguishing system includes detecting means which generates a detection signal by detecting flames outbroken on the surface of the chemical, an injection nozzle which jets out a nonflammable gas toward the liquid surface of the chemical in response to the detection signal, an auxiliary bath which temporarily stores the chemical by discharging the chemical from the chemical bath in response to the detection signal, a feed water equipment which supplies water to the auxiliary bath in response to the detection signal to dilute and cool the chemical, a pipeline which discharges the vapor component of the chemical within the chemical bath from the closed space, and an inert gas supplying device which supplies an inert gas in order to dilute the vapor component of the chemical within the auxiliary bath.

To include a cooling passage leading from a latter stage of a compressor, via an external cooler, to a hollow part provided in a load coupling that couples a rotor of the compressor and a rotor of a turbine to each other, and also leading from the hollow part to the latter stage of the compressor, and a centrifugal compressor that raises air pressure in the hollow part with rotation of the load coupling, in the hollow part. Therefore, pressure of the air in the hollow part is raised by the centrifugal compressor by using a centrifugal force resulting from the rotation of the load coupling at the time of operating the gas turbine. Cooled air flows from the hollow part to between compressor rotor blades and compressor vanes at the latter stage, and then flows into the hollow part, thereby enabling to efficiently reduce temperature in the hollow part.

A link mechanism includes a rotary shaft having a pin pushing thread hole, a link member having a shaft insertion hole, a detent pin configured to restrict the link member to be relatively non-rotatable with respect to the proximal end of the rotary shaft around an axis thereof, a pin support member to which the detent pin is fixed, and a pushing bolt having a male thread section that can be thread-engaged with the pin pushing thread hole, wherein a pin hole into which the detent pin can be fitted is formed in the proximal end of the rotary shaft and the link member, a pin removing thread hole is formed in the pin support member, and a thread major diameter of the pin removing thread hole is larger than a thread major diameter of the male thread section of the pushing bolt.

A display-and-image-pickup apparatus includes: a display-and-image-pickup panel having an image display function and an image pickup function; an image producing means for producing a predetermined processed image on the basis of a picked-up image of a proximity object obtained through the use of the display-and-image-pickup panel; an image processing means for obtaining information about the proximity object through selectively using one of two obtaining modes on the basis of at least one of the picked-up image and the processed image; and a switching means for switching processes so that, in the case where the parameter is increasing, one of the two obtaining modes is switched to the other obtaining mode when the parameter reaches a threshold value, and in the case where the parameter is decreasing, the other obtaining mode is switched to the one obtaining mode when the parameter reaches a smaller threshold value.

To provide a cover of a cooling passage that forms a cooling passage for supplying cooling air to a turbine rotor blade at the last stage via inside of a disk of a turbine, and the cover comprises: a cylindrical cover portion that covers a cavity provided in a annular pattern in an outer circumference of the disk in a mode where a first passage opened from inside of the disk to the cavity and a second passage opened from a cooling passage of the turbine rotor blade at the last stage to the cavity are connected to each other; and a flexible portion that is formed integrally with the cover portion and allows flexure in an axial direction of the turbine.
