Abstract:
A female housing (20) is provided with a lock arm (30) for holding a mating male connector (M) in a connected state. The lock arm (30) is comprised of an arm (31) extending along forward and backward directions and an actuator (32) extending along a width direction. The arm (31) is resiliently deformed with a support (33) as a supporting point and has a lock (34) engageable with the male connector (M). The arm (31) is displaced in unlocking direction by pressing the actuator (32). Two couplings (35) coupled to the female housing (20) are provided at opposite sides of the actuator (32). The couplings (35) are inclined up towards a widthwise middle (32a) of the actuator (32).
Abstract:
Male connectors (10) are accommodated in an ECU casing C, and connect with female connectors (20) connected with ends of wires (Wa). The male and female connectors (10, 20) are locked together by engaging a lock (45) on a lock arm (40) of the female connector (20) with an engaging portion (47) of the male connector (10). The fracture strength of the engaging portion (47) of the male connector (10) exceeds the fracture strength of the lock (45) of the female connector (20). Thus, an excessive force acting to separate the locked connectors (10, 20) will fracture the lock (45) of the female connector (20) first to cancel the locked state. This avoids fracturing the engaging portion (47) of the male connector (10).
Abstract:
A connector includes a housing (130) with a cavity (131) and a lock (133) that is resiliently deformable along a deformation direction (DD). A terminal fitting (110) is insertable into and withdrawable from the cavity (131) along inserting and withdrawing directions (IWD) and is configured to be locked by the lock (133). A jig (160) can be slid linearly into a jig insertion space (148) between the terminal fitting (110) and the lock (133) for disengaging the lock (133) from the terminal fitting (110).

Abstract:
A female connector has a housing (6) in which terminal fittings can be accommodated. A retainer (12) can be engaged lightly with the housing (6) at a partial locking position. The retainer (12) also can be engaged more deeply at a full locking position where the retainer (12) locks the terminal fittings. Housing ribs (7B) project from an outer surface (25) of the housing (6), and retainer ribs (27) project from the retainer (12) and extend along the extension of the housing ribs (7B). The retainer ribs (27) project beyond the housing ribs (7B) when the retainer (12) is at the partial locking position.
