Abstract:
A support bearing assembly includes a plural rows of rolling elements (5) between opposed raceway surfaces (3, 4) of outer and inner members (1, 2), respectively. The inner member (2) is formed from a hub unit (9) and an inner ring (10) mounted on an outer periphery of an inboard end portion thereof. An annular stepped area (16) is provided in an inner periphery of the inboard side of the inner ring. A crimped portion (9b) engageable with the stepped area (16) is provided on an inboard end of the hub unit (9) and has a cylindrical shape prior to a crimping process. By setting the amount of change in an inner diameter of the inboard end of the crimped portion (9b) within a preset range when a crimping punch is driven in, the amount (D) of radially outward augmentation of the crimped portion is regulated.
Abstract:
A wheel support bearing assembly includes an outer member, an inner member and double row balls. The inner member includes a hub unit, which has a wheel mounting flange defined in an outer periphery thereof, and an inner ring mounted on the outer periphery of the inboard end of the hub unit. A shoulder is provided in an inner peripheral edge of the inboard end face of the inner ring. A crimped portion, engageable with a stepped face of the shoulder, is provided in the inboard end of the hub unit by diameter expansion. The crimped portion is formed by crimping such diameter expanded portion which is thin walled by providing a hub inner diameter setback in the inner periphery of the inboard end of the hub unit. This thin walled portion is positioned on a side inboardly of the straight line defining a ball contact angle in the inboard raceway surface.
Abstract:
An electronic camera and method of operating an electronic camera which detects whether an external device such as a personal computer is properly connected to the camera and in a state which permits communication. The camera monitors a data terminal ready (DTR) signal of an RS-232 connection in order to determine that the external device is properly connected and in a state which permits communication. Once the proper connection is detected, the camera can either transmit or receive images and/or audio from the external device. Accordingly, a specific switch which places the camera in a communication mode can be eliminated. Further, a single switch may be utilized for both controlling whether the camera records or plays images when there is no device connected, and which controls whether the camera transmits or receives images and/or audio when an external device is determined to be connected.
Abstract:
In a battery pack (1) that accommodates a plurality of batteries (11) arranged in parallel in a case (2) that forms a cooling-air passage (3), the cooling-air passage (3) and a gas-discharge passage (4) for discharging gas leaking from the battery (11) when the battery (11) falls into abnormal state are formed and separated from each other in the case (2).
Abstract:
An interface apparatus includes a pulse generating unit which detects the change of reading target data and generates a start pulse, an adjusting unit which generates an adjusting signal that changes from a first signal level to a second signal level in response to the start pulse, a register unit comprising a register which fetches first reading target data synchronously with a clock when the adjusting signal is at the second signal level, and holds the data and outputs the data as second reading target data when the adjusting signal is at the first signal level, and a driver unit which outputs the first reading target data synchronously with the reading signal that is asynchronous with the clock when the adjusting signal is at the second signal level, and outputs the second reading target data synchronously with the reading signal when the adjusting signal is at the first signal level.
Abstract:
A sheet carrier apparatus for conveying a sheet includes a roller having a cylindrical circumferential surface that is made of an elastic material. The apparatus also includes a temperature sensor for detecting a temperature of the roller, and processing device for setting a rotational speed of the roller based on a detection signal from the temperature sensor.

Abstract:
A stencil printer has a rotary printing drum removably supported in a printer body. A lamp is provided inside the printer body, and a control circuit permits, in response to an action necessary for maintenance of the printer body, the lamp means to be turned on.

Abstract:
A document management system a high extendability, flexibility, and stability capable of solving a problem that, as an agent-oriented paradigm system extends, the number of agents increases and indefinite factors increase. In the system configuration with an object execution environment implemented with an object-oriented function and an agent execution environment implemented with an agent-oriented function, a unit for changing an agent into an object is provided for using the agent execution environment as the object execution environment. With this configuration, a system developer can use the merits of both the object- and agent-oriented paradigms by implementing a function necessary for stable operation by an object and a function with high change occurrence frequency by an agent.
