Abstract:
Ski binding, in particular a touring, telemark or cross-country binding, with a front retaining element associated with the front end of the sole, a back retaining element designed to engage the front part of the sole of a ski boot or the heel of the boot and a tensioning device connecting the front and back retaining elements to one another, which allows the front and back retaining elements to be locked to the ski boot and, in particular, allows the heel of the boot to be raised from the ski while in the locked state, such that at least one spring-loaded release mechanism is associated with the tensioning device in order to release the lock between ski binding and ski boot under the action of a torque that exceeds a specified threshold magnitude and is exerted on the ski or boot about an upright axis of rotation, and/or of a force manually exerted on an essentially only positive-fit locking element.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a ski binding that retains a boot to a ski in at least two independent operational states. One embodiment of a ski binding includes a toe receiving member and a releasable system. The toe receiving member is configured to engage the toe portion of the boot. The releasable system is configured to couple the toe receiving member to the ski in at least two independent operational states. A first state corresponds to a state in which the toe receiving member is allowed to freely rotate with respect to the ski. The first state is particularly useful in minimizing the necessary energy output for uphill travel. A second state corresponds to a state in which the toe receiving member is locked with respect to the ski. The second state is particularly useful in high performance downhill travel. The releasable system further includes an engagement mechanism and a switching mechanism. Additional states may also be included such as a third state in which both the toe receiving member and a heel portion of the boot are fixed with respect to the ski.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to an improved telemark ski binding. More particularly, the present invention relates to a dual front cable under-foot telemark binding. The two front cables attach to a linkage point within the toe receiving portion. The front cables are also designed to be easily replaceable by a consumer thereby extending the overall lifespan of the binding. In addition, the coupling between the two front cables and the resistance mechanism cartridges includes a unique rotational and lateral chalking mechanism that prevents inadvertent adjustment.

Abstract:
Touring, telemark or cross-country ski binding (10) for securing a ski boot comprising a leg and a sole, having a front retaining element (12) associated with the front end of the sole, a rear retaining element (15) formed to engage on the foresole or on the heel of the ski boot, and a biasing device (19), effective between the front and rear retaining elements, by means of which the ski boot is clampable between the front and rear retaining elements in such a manner that the heel thereof is freely liftable. The front retaining element (12) is pivotally mounted relative to the binding (10, 11) and the ski on the one hand, and relative to the rear retaining element (15) on the other hand, about an axis (13) which extends transversely to the longitudinal direction of the binding and sole and approximately parallel to the sole tread.
Abstract:
A device for binding a boot to a sports article allowing the heel of the boot to be raised with respect to the sports article, of the type in which the boot has a first connecting zone positioned at the front of the boot, and a second connecting zone positioned rearward of the first connecting zone. The device includes an attachment arm having a fixed length, the attachment arm being articulated to the base of the device at a first of two fixed points of the attachment arm and adapted to be joined to the second connecting zone of the boot at a second of the two fixed points of the attachment arm. A guiding mechanism slidably guides the first boot connecting zone relative to the base of the device.
Abstract:
A ski boot, in particular a ski-mountaineering or telemark boot, having a shell made of plastic material; a shank hinged to the shell; and a control mechanism, located at the rear portion of the boot, for controlling the tilt of the shank and having a lever hinged to a projection of the shank and movable between a work position in which one end cooperates with a rear projection of the shell to prevent rearward rotation of the shank, and a release position. The control mechanism has a ring hinged to the lever and engaging a recess formed in the rear projection of the shell to also prevent forward rotation of the shank with respect to the shell.
Abstract:
An improved ski binding relating generally to telemark skiing and other types of nullheel-lessnull bindings is disclosed. Troublesome snow buildup underfoot, particularly in the area between a skier's boot and binding interface, is reduced and/or eliminated by the incorporation of a binding, anti-icing riser plate that pumps snow and ice away from the skier's boot and binding interface during operation of the nullheel-lessnull binding. In conjunction with or alternatively from the anti-icing riser plate, a binding frame incorporating a hinge is also disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a system for fixing a shoe to a sports gear using a fixing device fixed on the sports gear and comprising stop means (60) cooperating with the shoe front end and elastic catching means (50) cooperating with the sole associated catching means (17) arranged behind the sole front end and exerting on said sole a tension pressure towards said stop means. The invention is characterized in that said elastic catching means (50) are anchored on the fixing device, at the rear of the stop means (60). The elastic catching means anchoring means (40, 53) are longitudinally mobile countering the elastic means (38).
