Abstract:
Provided are a distributor capable of feeding a liquid in a state of evenly flowing out from an entire opening while avoiding the opening from being blocked by sludge and keeping a pressure loss small, a settling tank that employs the distributor, and a method for operating the settling tank. A distributor 10 being in the form of a rectangular frame and having straight tubular sides 11 to 14 is disposed in a lower space within a settling tank 1. A liquid outlet opening 16 extending in a lengthwise direction of the distributor 10 is formed in a bottom surface of the distributor 10. An open angle θ of the opening 16 with respect to a tube axis is 60 to 180°, and preferably 90 to 150°.
Abstract:
A polyester production system employing a vertically elongated esterification reactor. The esterification reactor of the present invention is an improvement over conventional CSTR esterification reactors because, for example, in one embodiment, the reactor requires little or no mechanical agitation. Further, in one embodiment, the positioning of the inlets and outlets of the reactor provides improved operational performance and flexibility over CSTRs of the prior art.

Abstract:
A hydrogen mixed gas supplying apparatus, consists of: a lead flow pipe, an atomizer, a liquid storage tank and a plasma heater; wherein, the lower end of lead flow pipe is linked to the liquid storage tank through a tube such that the methanol mixed liquid stored in the liquid storage tank is lead into the lead flow pipe; at the bottom end of lead flow pipe is the atomizer that atomizes the methanol mixed liquid into mixed liquid micro particles having average diameter not over 2 μm; lead air from one end of the lead flow pipe pushes the mixed liquid micro particles to plasma heater that dissolved the mixed liquid micro particles into hydrogen ions, hydroxide ions and the corresponding free radicals;and finally, the mixed gas of low temperature hydrogen gas, carbon monoxide, methane, carbon dioxide and nitrogen gas is then generated.
Abstract:
An electrolyzer which decomposes distilled water into a new fuel composed of hydrogen, oxygen and their molecular and magnecular bonds, called HHO. The electrolyzer can be used to provide the new combustible gas as an additive to combustion engine fuels or in flame or other generating equipment such as torches and welders. The new combustible gas is comprised of clusters of hydrogen and oxygen atoms structured according to a general formula HmOn wherein m and n have null or positive integer values with the exception that m and n can not be 0 at the same time, and wherein said combustible gas has a varying energy content depending on its use.
Abstract:
Parallel flow reaction systems comprising four or more reaction channels are disclosed. Distribution systems, and parallel flow reaction systems comprising such distribution systems are also disclosed. Specifically, the distribution systems comprise a feed-composition subsystem for providing a different feed composition to each of the four or more reactors. In preferred embodiments, the feed composition subsystem comprises at least one set of four or more feed-component flow restrictors, each of the four or more feed-component flow restrictors having a flow resistance that varies relative to other flow restrictors in the set.

Abstract:
A device (1) for actuating at least one piston (2) moving axially in the bore (3) of a body (4), the piston (2) being driven by the longitudinal or curved movement (F2) of a control arm (5). Also disclosed is a method for detecting a failure in a device (1) having an intermediary element (6), located between the piston (2) and the control arm (5), this intermediary element (6) being also used as an alarm means should the intermediary element (6) be missing between the piston (2) and the arm (5). The invention is particularly applicable in the field of diagnosis.
Abstract:
A bulk chemical delivery system, comprising: a bulk chemical canister that is connected to at least one manifold box, wherein each manifold box has at least two output lines, wherein each output line connects to a secondary canister. In non-limiting representative example, the bulk chemical canister may have a capacity of 200 liters. Also disclosed are novel manifolds for use in delivering chemicals from canisters and a transportation/containment cart.
Abstract:
A process and apparatus is disclosed for generating a mixture of phosphine and diluent gas(es). A hydrolyzable metal phosphide, preferably magnesium phosphide, is released directly into liquid water under an atmosphere of gas inert to phosphine and in a free-flowing particulate form, composed of loose metal phosphide particles. The generated mixture of phosphine and inert carrier gas, e.g. CO.sub.2, is used as such or is diluted into a gas mixing chamber with air to a concentration below the ignitability limit before being used in fumigation. Using argon as a carrier gas the phosphine mixture is suitable for semiconductor doping.
