Abstract:
Provided is an easy-to-handle prefilled type nasal drip appliance which can spray medical solution surely into the nostril while holding down the production cost. A syringe barrel has a spray hole and a latching portion of a center stopper on one side, with a conduction portion of medical solution being provided at the latching portion, and has a portion protruding inward of the inner circumferential surface formed on the other end side. A plunger has a portion protruding outward of the outer circumferential surface formed substantially in the axial center wherein both protrusions engage with each other. When the plunger is moved in the spray direction of the syringe barrel to get over the plunger side protrusion and disengaged, the medical solution moves the center stopper in the spray direction to form a medical solution inflow groove between the conduction portion formed at the center stopper latching portion and the center stopper. Consequently, a medical solution storage portion and the spray hole are interconnected and the medical solution can be sprayed.
Abstract:
A spray or injection device that includes a casing or a pusher that includes at least one tab radially moveable between a first radial position, in which the tab does not impede the movement of the pusher with respect to the casing, and a second radial position in which the tab opposes movement of the pusher. The pusher or the casing, respectively, includes at least one ramp-shaped projection configured to bring the tab into the second radial position and then allow it to return to the first radial position. The pusher or the casing further includes at least one stop between the pusher and casing to delineate the end of a first stroke corresponding to a first dose of medicament, and the beginning of a second stroke corresponding to a second dose of medicament.
Abstract:
A container or vial (1) for a fluid, the container (1) comprising a casing defining an interior for storage of the fluid and a closure member (2). The closure member (2) comprises a body and at least one resilient projection (7) to seal in a storage condition an outlet of the casing, wherein upon an increase in the pressure of the interior of the container (1) the at least one resilient projection (7) is deflected to accommodate outflow of fluid through the outlet. The pressure in the interior of the container (1) may be increased by displacing the closure member (2) into the container (1) or by displacing some other element such as a bung (61, 82) into the container (1). The container (1) and closure member (2) may be used in a dispenser (90) and the closure element may be used in a valve (110).
Abstract:
A fluid dispenser device, comprising: a dispenser orifice (5); a reservoir (10) containing at least one dose of fluid; at least one piston (15) axially slidable in said reservoir (10) so as to dispense said fluid; a dispenser member (20) co-operating with said piston (15); and an actuator element (30) co-operating with said dispenser member (20); said device being characterized in that said dispenser member (20) is displaceable between a blocking position, preventing said actuator element (30) from being actuated, and a release position in which the actuation of said actuator element (30) displaces said dispenser member (20) so as to dispense a dose of fluid, said dispenser member (20) being displaced manually from its blocking position to its release position before said device is actuated.
Abstract:
1. Dispensing device for a preferably liquid medium.2.1. The invention relates to a dispensing device (10) for a preferably liquid or pulverulent medium, preferably for a pharmaceutical medium, having a housing (12), a media store (30) for accommodating the medium, a dispensing opening (22) for discharging the medium, and an actuating handle (40) which, by relative movement in relation to the housing (12), can bring about a dispensing operation.2.2. According to the invention, the housing (12) has provided on it a removable protective covering (50) by means of which the actuating handle (40) or the dispensing opening is covered in a storage state, wherein, in the storage state, the protective covering (50) is connected to the housing (12) by means of a coupling device (18, 52), and wherein the coupling device (18, 52) can be uncoupled by engagement of at least one functional portion (72) of the dispensing device, it being possible for the functional portion to be moved in relation to the housing (12) and the protective covering (50).2.3. For use in particular for media which have to be stored in a childproofed manner.
Abstract:
Improved therapeutic sclerosing microfoams are provided that have advantage in producing a consistent profile injectable foam with minimal input by the physician yet using high volume percentages of blood dispersible gases, thus avoiding use of potentially hazardous amounts of nitrogen.

Abstract:
A spray device including a barrel having a bypass and at least two spaced stoppers defining a first and second chambers and a spray nozzle. Movement of the first stopper drives the second stopper to the bypass and the fluid in the first chamber into the second chamber, mixing the fluid and substance. Continued movement of the first and second stoppers drives the mixture through the spray nozzle. The spray device may include a third stopper having a body in the tubular barrel which is moved toward the spray nozzle. The movement of the third stopper provides space for the mixture and prevents unpressurized fluid from flowing through the spray nozzle. The third stopper includes an axial stalk. The stalk may be deformable or the stalk may be separate from the body and the spray nozzle includes a longitudinal internal passage which provides communication with the spray port.
Abstract:
An ampoule for containing a specified amount of liquid inside to be used for a liquid atomizer has a tubular main body having an open front part including an outlet at one end and an open back part at an opposite end. A piston is inserted into the main body from the open front part in an airtight manner and is slidable axially inside the main body. Another piston is inserted into the main body from the open back part in an airtight manner so as to be slidable axially inside the main body. The two pistons form a reservoir in between for storing a liquid. The forwardly located piston has a weakened part on the side that faces the reservoir. As a sharp member extending from the other piston penetrates this weakened, the reservoir and the outlet become connected and the liquid inside the reservoir is discharged.
Abstract:
