    Abstract: A covering from mechanically interconnectable elements, wherein at least one of the elements is a panel, wherein the elements have on their confronting sides a complementary profiling and can be locked together via said profiling. The locking is caused by at least one tongue element which is connected to one of the elements in an articulated manner and which can be pivoted during the joining motion behind a locking edge of the adjacent element, said locking edge extending essentially in the horizontal direction. The tongue element is in part connected to a core of the element by means of an elastic material and is a one-piece component of the element prior to the joining motion, wherein the one-piece connection between the tongue element and the element is configured as a predetermined breaking site which is provided to fail, in particular break, when the tongue element is pivoted.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a floor covering consisting of a plurality of panel elements (1) that can be laid in combination with each other. On the front sides (2, 3) and longitudinal sides (4, 5), the panel elements (1) have locking strips (6, 7) that engage with each other in the assembled position in a covering in which panel elements (1) adjoin each other. The front sides (2, 3) of the panel elements (1) have grooves (19, 20). The grooves (19, 20) of two abutting front sides (2, 3) are aligned and form a locking channel (21) for accommodating a front spring (22) that is pre-assembled in one of the grooves (20). The front spring (22) projects from an end of the groove (20) that faces the longitudinal side (5) of the panel element (1) and can be moved in part from one groove (20) into the corresponding groove (19) of the adjoining panel element (1) by sliding the projecting end (24) of the front spring (22) into the groove (20). The groove (20) that accommodates the front spring (22) has at least one recess (45) within which a stop surface (25) is formed and into which a cam (43) of the front spring (22) engages. The front spring (22) has a wavy shape. The wavy sides of the front spring (22) face a decorative side and a bottom side of the panel elements (1). The orientation of the troughs (27) and crests (26) of the wavy zones (28, 29) should correspond to the direction of travel (V) of the front spring (22) when the front spring (22) is slid into the recess (45) and the cam (43) rests thereagainst.

    Abstract: Provided are a flooring material and a rotational body used therewith which are adapted to improve quality reliability in flooring materials by stably providing not only a fastening force in the horizontal direction but also a fastening force in the vertical direction when flooring panels are assembled with each other, thereby facilitating assembly of the flooring panels and strengthening the joining force due to assembly. To this end, the flooring material according to one embodiment of the present invention is a flooring material formed by assembling a plurality of flooring panels together, comprising: a recessed part which is formed at one end of a flooring panel; a tongue part which is formed so as to assemble in the recessed part at one end of another flooring panel; an accommodating recess which is formed in the recessed part; and a rotational body which is accommodated so as to be able to rotate in the accommodating recess and secures the tongue part by being rotated in one direction when the tongue part is assembled in the recessed part, and releases the tongue part from the secured state by being rotated in the opposite direction when the tongue part is separated from the recessed part.

    Abstract: A device for locking two building boards connected to one another, in particular flooring panels with a core of wood material or wood material/plastic mixture, in a direction (V) perpendicular to a visible side. The device includes a first building board with a lateral edge (I) and a first groove provided in the core of the building board and running parallel to the visible side. The device further includes at least one second building board with a lateral edge (II) and with a second groove provided in the core of the building board and running parallel to the visible side, and a locking element that is placed in the first groove of the first building board in order to engage in the second groove of the second building board, when both grooves have reached an overlapping position after the connection of the building boards by a vertical lowering movement. To lock the two building boards in a direction (H) parallel to the visible side, on one of the lateral edges (I), a lower lip projecting beyond this laterally with an outer projection projecting upwards is provided. On the lateral edge (II) lying opposite this lateral edge (I) a recess is provided directed towards an underside, which recess is embodied in a manner corresponding to the projection.
