    Abstract: Method for detecting marked mineral oils by treating the marked mineral oil with an extractant comprising water, a solvent and a base comprises using as marker an azo dye of the formula ##STR1## where ring A may be benzofused,m is from 1 to 4,X.sup.1 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, cyano or nitro,X.sup.2 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, cyano, nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.16 -alkoxycarbonyl,X.sup.3 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, cyano or C.sub.1 -C.sub.16 -alkoxycarbonyl, andX.sup.4 is hydrogen, hydroxyl, substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, amino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -dialkylamino or substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.16 -monoalkylamino,as solvent a partially or completely water-miscible organic solvent, and as base an alkali or alkaline earth metal hydroxide, an alkali metal carbonate or a quaternary ammonium hydroxide, the use of azo dyes as markers for mineral oils, and novel azo dyes.

    Abstract: Liquid hydrocarbon distillate fuel compositions are provided comprising a hydrocarbonaceous distillate fuel boiling in a gasoline range containing an aliphatic hydrocarbon substituted hydrazine. The aliphatic hydrocarbon radical is relatively free of aliphatic unsaturation and is of from about 400-5,000 molecular weight. The hydrazines useful in preparing the compounds of this invention may be mono- or di-substituted on one of the nitrogens, while the second nitrogen must have at least one hydrogen atom present prior to reaction with the aliphatic hydrocarbon.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a solid addition-type diesel environmental protection anti-smoke additive and a method for preparing the same. The additive includes a solvent, vinyl ferrocene, and vinyl acetate. The method includes the following steps: under the condition that nitrogen is introduced to completely replace air, adding to a high-pressure reactor the solvent, vinyl ferrocene, vinyl acetate, and a free radical initiator; starting stirring to introduce a high-pressure vinyl monomer; polymerizing and synthesizing a free radical into a crude product of a diesel anti-smoke oxidant; under the condition of the constant temperature of a system, completing reaction when a pressure is not changed for 60 min; cooling down a reaction product to a room temperature and releasing the pressure to an atmospheric pressure to obtain the crude product; and performing atmospheric distillation for the crude product to remove a petroleum ether and an unreacted raw material from the crude product.
