Abstract:
A system for detecting digitized content and selecting matches from a master verification database. The detection of digitized content is performed using a verification database which contains a master table of contents identifiers and songprints for corresponding digitized content. A network server is programmed to receive selections of a table of contents identifiers from computers, and to request selections of songprint identifiers from the computers and selects matches from the master verification database.
Abstract:
A preferred embodiment of the disclosed can lid has a center panel having a central axis that is perpendicular to a diameter of the outer rim, or peripheral curl portion, of the can lid, an annular countersink surrounding the center panel, an arcuate portion extending radially outward from the annular countersink, a step portion extending radially upward and outward from the arcuate portion, a first transitional portion extending radially outward from the step portion, a second transitional portion extending radially outward and upward from the first transitional portion, and a peripheral curl portion extending outwardly from the second transitional portion.
Abstract:
A communications system for an alarm panel including: an alarm panel adaptor in operable communication with the alarm panel generating analog alarm signals; a first powerline communications device in operable communication with a the alarm panel adaptor converting the analog alarm signals to powerline alarm signals; a second powerline communications device receiving the powerline alarm signals over an electrical grid and converting the powerline alarm signals to internet protocol alarm signals; and a broadband connection in operable communication with the second powerline communications device for transmitting the internet protocol alarm signals to a remote central control station.
Abstract:
The invention provides an electrical generating system comprising an AC electrical generator (G) having an output, and a capacitor arrangement (Ca) provided at the output of the generator and arranged so as to offset a drop of voltage from no-load to full-load occurring at the output of the generator. As described, the generator (G) is a permanent-magnet generator having a plurality of terminals and associated output lines, and the capacitor arrangement comprises a respective capacitor (Ca) connected in series in each of the output lines, with the value of the capacitance of each capacitor being selected such that a drop of voltage from no-load to full-load occurring at the associated generator terminal is substantially offset at an output terminal of each said capacitor.
Abstract:
A seat assembly for supporting an occupant in an automotive vehicle. The seat assembly includes a seat cushion and a seat back. The seat back is operatively coupled to the seat cushion for pivotal movement of the seat back about a first pivot axis relative to the seat cushion. A head restraint support assembly is operatively coupled to the seat cushion for pivotal movement with the seat back about the first pivot axis and independent pivotal movement relative to the seat back about a second pivot axis.
Abstract:
A directory channel broadcasts or otherwise communicates an electronic communications directory to a media delivery device for presentment, storage, and/or integration with other directory content. The media delivery device may include an integrated multimedia device, such as an audiovisual (AV) device. Alternatively, the media delivery device and the AV device may be stand-alone devices such as an STB coupled or otherwise connected with a TV.
Abstract:
A carrying adaptor for a compound bow includes an elongate body member, a catch member securely fastened to the body member and having a hook-like member for receiving and holding a flexible support member such as a strap, and a sleeve slidably mounted upon the exterior of the body member for retaining the flexible support member with the hook-like member.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for producing high quality folded greeting cards or the like is described as is a package of receiver sheet stock used for making such cards. A toned image is formed on an image supporting member using preferably an electrostatographic recording apparatus. A discrete receiver sheet is fed into engagement with the image supporting member to transfer the image to the receiver sheet. The receiver sheet is of a card stock of the type having a weight of no less than 28# bond. The grain of the sheet is in the grain short direction and the receiver sheet is fed into transfer relationship with the image supporting member by movement of the sheet in a direction coincident with the direction of the longer edges of the sheet. The receiver sheet is further characterized by one or more scoring lines which extend generally parallel to and intermediate the shorter edges of the sheet to facilitate folding of the receiver sheet after formation of an image thereon. The image on the image supporting member is transferred to the receiver sheet and then fused. A quality fold is provided to the card by folding the card with a fold line being along the scoring line(s). A further finishing of the card may be made by trimming of border areas.
Abstract:
A capillary tube is shrunk around a wire heating element, fashioned into the desired configuration, and situated between the exterior surface of a cylindrical inner glass tube and the interior surface of a cylindrical outer glass tube, to form an assembly. The space between the adjacent tube surfaces is evacuated as a heat source is moved along the axis of the assembly to heat each longitudinal section of the assembly, in sequence. The element is thermally expanded as the outer tube surface collapses toward the inner tube surface, resulting in the fusion of the adjacent glass surfaces around the expanded element. In this manner, a channel is formed through the fused glass body which has the configuration and dimensions of the expanded element. During cooling, the element returns to its unexpanded condition. This results in a space between the channel walls and the element, permitting the element to expand, when electrically energized, without breaking the glass body.
