A preservative for plants is described whose active ingredient(s) are the compounds selected from the group consisting of olefin compounds and salts and esters thereof, N-(2-chloro-4-pyridyl)ureas, dipicolinic acid and derivatives and salts thereof, epoxy compounds and salts and esters thereof, and SH-reagents. The preservative is usable for keeping the freshness of plants, in particular fruits, vegetables and cut flowers, and cut flowers for a long period of time.
Abstract:
A space diversity communications system usable with a multi-direction time division multiplex communications network which consists of a plurality of scattered satellite stations and one central station. While the central station is provided with a single antenna, each satellite station is provided with two antennas, main and supplementary. The central station, responsive to received signal, produces a control signal for each satellite station and sends it the satellite station. The satellite station selects either of two antennas in response to the control signal, thereby increasing radio transmission quality on a satellite-by-satellite basis.

An improved rear wheel suspension for a motorcycle is provided which includes a body frame, a rear wheel support frame such as a rear fork pivotally mounted on the body frame for upward and downward movement relative thereto and rotatably supporting a rear wheel, at least one rear shock absorber disposed between the body frame and the rear wheel support frame for damping the relative movement between the body frame and the rear wheel, and a mechanism for adjusting the damping force of the rear shock absorber in a manner such that the rate of increase in the compression stroke of the rear shock absorber is increased in proportion to the upward movement of the rear wheel relative to the body frame.

An alloy flake production apparatus (1) includes a crystallinity control device (2) for controlling an alloy crystal structure of fed alloy flakes to a desired state, a cooling device (3) for cooling the alloy flakes discharged from the crystallinity control device (2), and a chamber for keeping these devices under reduced pressure or under an inert gas atmosphere. The crystallinity control device (2) has a rotary heating drum (21) in a cylindrical shape for heating the fed alloy flakes, and a switching device (23) for switching between storage and discharge of the alloy flakes fed to an inner wall side of the heating drum (21), so that long-time heat treatment is uniformly applied to the alloy flakes immediately after being made by ingot crushing. The heating drum (21) preferably has a scooping blade plate (22) for scooping up alloy flakes fed to the inner wall side with its rotation.

For providing an electric connection box including a metal core board, which can limit increase of a size thereof and be prevented from bending along the slit, the electric connection box 10 includes a metal core board 1, in which a plurality of core metal plates 21, 22 is laminated and insulation resin is filled between each of the plurality of core metal plates 21, 22. The plurality of core metal plates 21, 22 are provide with slits 3A, 3B to divide the core metal plates 21, 22 to a plurality of separate plates 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b and be filled with insulation resin. The slits 3A, 3B is formed not to overlap each other on the same one line when viewing in a vertical direction about the metal core board 1. The electric connection box 10 distributes electric power inputted from a plurality of power systems to each separate plates 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b.

Electric power from a battery is inputted into the core metal plate, and electric power from an alternator is inputted into the core metal plate. The electronic components are provided with a plurality of attaching portions soldered or screwed to the metal core substrate. At least one of the attaching portions is attached to the core metal plate, and at least one of the attaching portions is attached to the core metal plate.
