Abstract: A binding machine includes a wire feeding unit, a curl forming unit, a cutting unit, and a binding unit. The binding unit includes a locking member that includes a first hook and a second hook and that locks the wire by moving the first hook toward the second hook. The locking member includes a locking part that locks the wire in a state in which the first hook has been moved toward the second hook, and an unlocking part that makes it possible for the first hook to be movable away from the second hook with such an amount of movement that the locked wire does not come off between the first hook and the second hook.
