Abstract:
A vented umbrella is resistant to inversion from the wind and effective in ventilation. The umbrella comprises a foldable frame, a lower canopy, and an upper canopy in a concentric covering relation with respect to lower canopy with a small overlapped peripheral area therebetween. A plurality of nonelastic ropes are provided each connected between the center portion of peripheral edge in each sector of lower canopy and the upper ring. As such, a plurality of openings are formed at the junction between sectors of upper canopy and lower canopy in a fully extended condition. This also can save cloth and effect a simplified manufacturing process.
Abstract:
A durable collapsible frame structure is provided for umbrella with self-opening mechanism, which can make the pivotal coupling between the supporting ribs and the linkage beams highly firm and secure while nonetheless retaining the light-weighted quality of the supporting ribs. The collapsible frame structure is more durable than the prior art by using enforced light-weighted materials such as FRP to form the umbrella frame and steel bars to form the linkage beams. Therefore, the collapsible frame structure is longer in the life of use than the prior art.
Abstract:
An automatic non-collapsible umbrella includes a handle, a control mechanism, a center post, a detent mechanism, a runner assembly, and a skeleton. A cylindrical main seat of the control mechanism includes a spring biased open button for opening the umbrella, and a spring biased collapse button adjacent to the collapse button for closing the umbrella.
Abstract:
An umbrella includes a control mechanism comprising a hollow cylinder, a control block, a press mechanism, a push member, and an actuation block; a shank assembly comprising a support tube, first and second sliding tubes, and a resilient member; a link assembly comprising a pulley mechanism, a main spring, a rope, and a link; a runner and top assembly comprising a runner having peripheral slots wherein one of the slots is secured to the rope, and a hub secured to the cylindrical section and having peripheral slots; and a rib and stretcher assembly comprising ribs, stretchers, and auxiliary spring and rod combinations. Umbrella can be opened by pressing the push button with the main spring being expanded or closed by pressing the push button again with the auxiliary springs being compressed. After closing the umbrella, the main spring can be compressed by urging against a hard object.
Abstract:
A golf bag umbrella includes a threaded flexible joint of dumbbell shape in its telescopic center post, the joint being adapted to easily bend in a plurality of radially directed positions relative to the part of the center post therebelow in a safety manner for facilitating access to golf clubs disposed in a golf bag.
