Abstract:
A cable connector assembly includes: an electrical connector; and a cable electrically connected with the electrical connector, the cable including plural high-speed wires for transmitting high-speed signal, a pair of low-speed wires for transmitting low-speed signal, a pair of power wires for transmitting power signal, a pair of standby wires, a detection wire for transmitting detection signal, and a power supply wire; wherein the pair of standby wires, the detection wire, and the power supply wire are arranged in a line along a horizontal direction; the high-speed wires are evenly distributed on both sides of the line along a thickness direction vertical to the horizontal direction; the low-speed wires are disposed on a side of the line along the thickness direction; and the power wires are disposed on another side of the line along the thickness direction.
Abstract:
A plug connector assembly includes: a mating member; a cable; a printed circuit board (PCB) interconnected between the mating member and the cable; a metal shell enclosing the PCB, a rear of the mating member, and a front of the cable, the metal shell including an upper shell part and a lower shell part both welded to the rear of the mating member; and an insulative outer shell enclosing the metal shell, the rear of the mating member, and the front of the cable, wherein the upper shell part is welded to the lower shell part.
Abstract:
A cable connector assembly includes a plug portion, a cable electrically connected with the plug portion and an insulative shell covering a part of the plug portion and the cable. The plug portion defines an insulative housing and a plurality of conductive terminals received in the insulative housing and arranged in two rows spaced apart from each other in a vertical direction, the conductive terminals including a plurality of detecting terminals, a plurality of signal terminals and a plurality of first terminals. The cable has a plurality of core wires. The plug portion further includes a connecting member for the first terminals shorted, the connecting member makes the first terminals shorted together so as to the first terminals are just soldered with a core wire of the cable.
Abstract:
A cable connector assembly includes a PCB defining some second conductive pads disposed on a rear end portion of the PCB and some third conductive pads disposed behind the second conductive pads, a cable defining a number of coaxial wires and single wires, and a housing. Each coaxial wire has a first inner conductor, an inner insulative layer enclosing the first inner conductor, a metal braided layer soldered to the corresponding third conductive pads, and an outer insulative layer. Part of the coaxial wires and single wires adjacent to the coaxial wires are disposed on at least one surface of the PCB. Each single wire has a second conductor, a first insulative layer, and a second insulative layer. The first insulative layer is made of heat-resisting material to prevent the adjacent single wires from being damaged when soldering the metal braided layer of the coaxial wires.
Abstract:
A cable connector assembly includes a connector, a printed circuit board having a rear portion, a cable connected to the rear portion, a strain relief having a main portion, a shell having a front wall and a rear wall, an outer case enclosing the shell and having a front end face and a rear end face, wherein the main portion is disposed between the rear wall and the rear end face, and the main portion comprises at least one through hole. A method of assembling a cable connector assembly, the cable connector assembly including a connector, a printed circuit board, and a cable, the method comprising the steps of: over-molding a strain relief with the cable to have a main portion defining at least one through hole; disposing the printed circuit board in a shell; and mounting an outer case forwardly over the shell to press the strain relief.
Abstract:
A plug connector for mating with a mating connector, including: a housing, a printed circuit board (PCB) received in the housing, a number of terminals, and an insulative cover portion molded to the PCB. The PCB includes a plurality of conductive paths, an upper surface, an opposite lower surface, and a pair of side surfaces. A number of conductive pads are disposed on the upper surface and the lower surface. The conductive pads are connected with corresponding conductive paths. The terminals are electrically connected with corresponding conductive pads of the PCB. The terminals include a number of first terminals disposed on the upper surface and the lower surface of the PCB and a number of second terminals disposed on the side surfaces of the PCB. The insulative cover portion covers the PCB while exposing each of the terminals out partly for mating with the mating connector.
