    Abstract: A solar lighting apparatus of the sun tracking type for guiding sunlight into a building by using light reflecting means (30), the apparatus comprising the light reflecting means (30) for reflecting sunlight, drive means (60) for driving the light reflecting means, control means (70) for controlling the drive means to orient the light reflecting means toward the direction of the sun, and power source means (20) for supplying electric power to the drive means and the control means. The power source means (20) comprises a main power source unit (22) chargeable by a solar cell panel (40) for supplying electric power to the drive means (60) and the control means (70), and a backup secondary cell (24) chargeable with the electric power from the main power source unit for supplying electric power to the control means (70). The control means (70) comprises real time clock means (75) for measuring time, and a CPU (76) for calculating the direction of the sun based on data as to time measured by the clock means and controlling the operation of the drive means. The CPU (76) is switchable from a sleep mode to an active mode in operating state based on the time data from the clock means (75).

    Abstract: An automatic adjusting device for a bank note holding member is provided. The bank note holding member can be inserted into a safe for the dispensing of bank notes. The holding member can have relatively movable side and end walls which can automatically and mechanically adjust to the particular size of the stack of bank notes that are inserted therein. When the bank note holding member is removed, the walls can be automatically extended to open the space to receive bank notes. When the bank note holding member is inserted into a safe, the respective walls can close on the stack of bank notes and assert a predetermined force to align the bank notes stored therein.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a coin dispensing apparatus for storing and dispensing coins through a dispensing slot that can be selectively controlled to prevent unauthorized access. A dispensing device dispenses coins through a coin passageway connected to a dispensing slot. A motor can activate the dispensing device to transport coins to the coin passageway which are in turn counted by a counting sensor unit. A control unit can provide signals for coordinating the operation of the motor and the activation of a shutting device for controlling access to the dispensing slot. A shutter can be spring biased and connected to a solenoid for automatically opening and closing the dispensing slot to prohibit intrusion of an exterior object into the coin passageway.

    Abstract: A coin dispensing mechanism for dispensing coins stored in bulk in a storage hopper through a coin passage to an exit aperture includes a selector member for individually selecting coins from the storage hopper and delivering the coins to the coin passage. The coin passage further includes a coin passageway having a lower surface for supporting the translation of the coins to the exit aperture and an upper surface having a configuration capable of receiving coins moved off of the lower surface. A detector unit is operatively mounted relative to the upper surface to detect a coin. In normal operation, the dispensed coins will travel across the lower surface and be ejected. If there is a coin blockage, one or more coins will be moved adjacent to the upper surface and the detector unit will detect the position of the coin and indicate a blockage in the coin dispensing mechanism.
