    Abstract: A sensing device is provided. The sensing device includes a substrate, a first electrode, a sensing element and a second electrode. The first electrode is disposed on the substrate. The sensing element is disposed on the first electrode. The sensing element is electrically connected to the first electrode. The sensing element includes a plurality of sensing units that are separate from each other. The second electrode is disposed on the sensing element and is electrically connected to the plurality of sensing units. In addition, at least one of the first electrode and the second electrode includes a hollow area, and the hollow area overlaps with a pitch between the plurality of sensing units. A method for manufacturing a sensing device is also provided.

The method includes: providing a substrate; forming a circuit element on the substrate; forming a sensing element on the substrate; forming a planarization layer on the sensing element and the circuit element; forming a first opening in the planarization layer, wherein the first opening overlaps with the circuit element; and forming a second opening in the planarization layer, wherein the second opening overlaps with the sensing element.
